Lovely clean quiet rooms, warm hosts & wholesome food. A great 3 night stay . In addition to this it’s close to the bustling town centre and Watford junction. Easy parking and the hosts were more than happy to help with my luggage storage needs

Not really a hotel more above a hostel! The room i stayed in was lovely! Recently decorated. Bed was comfy and well maintained. A toilet in the room would be handy as going down the hall is a hinderence especially when there is more than one person waiting. Overall a good stay!!

Stayed in the hotel, Very dated but the staff were great and always very helpful. Breakfast was a bargain and suprised not busier. Dinner was very nice and great deals daily. Great gin selection. Showers are the only downfall and could do with some work

Stayed at the hotel. Great value for money! Breakfast and dinner was cooked to perfection! Perfect location to go to Harry Potter world. Rooms a bit dated but everything was cleaned every day when we stayed and tea and coffee topped up. Will be staying again on returning to watford!

Great night away here for our visit to Watford. Staff friendly and helpful, good sized bed and pillows. Didn’t stay for breakfast which was a shame as had an early start. Great location would happily come back for another visit and recommend to others.

I attended the Southern Cross last week. Would highly recommend this pub/hotel and the staff there are excellent! In relation to the room booking, I was shown to the room by Melissa who was in charge of my booking. Melissa was really helpful and advised me on all the dos and don’ts. I’d definitely be staying here again!

Came for dinner with my partner and enjoyed a great meal. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, and the food was delicious. Got chatting with some of the regulars and they only had great things to say about the team, will definitely be returning.

i had my birthday drinks with my work colleagues and the night was great and all staff were really helpful and friendly always came and checked to see if we were okay and to let us know about kitchen closing times

Drove into their car park to enquire about rooms - saw a sign that said patrons only so went into the bar and bought a drink. Enquired about rooms and left. Next thing I got a parking fine for £100! There was a machine to enter car details at the other end of the bar which I couldn’t see and the staff didn’t inform me about it Is this some sort of scam? Terry Bovingdon
