Tower Hotel & Leisure Centre

I stayed in Tower Hotel 4th 5th march 2 nights midweek break. Lady front desk very friendly I had great check in out experience fantastic Fiona. Very very nice friendly. I had Fantastic evening meal Food was best had at Hotel Long time restaurant staff fantastic service friendly. Fryed breakfast fantastic and staff very professional true out Hotel enjoyed food Hotel and rooms very clean Best cleanest I have seen in Hotel fantastic views from Hotel price paid break well worth money really enjoyed my experience I will be back again No faults with this Hotel well run Hotel fantastic service great booking experience by phone Fiona manager staff Thank you My best Hotel experience Long time.

We had travelled from Canada and this was our first stop on our Ireland roadtrip. We were very jetlagged and had spent the day hiking and visiting places and desperately needed sleep but we arrived early. We decided that we would walk around the town until checkin time, but went to the desk to let them know we had parked our car, and the reception was fantastic. The woman at checkin was so kind and even let us know our room was ready, 2 hours in advance, and let us check right in! I have never been so grateful for a warm shower and cozy bed! The accomodations were clean and comfortable and we had an AMAZING view of the river. We opted for breakfast included as well and I was so glad. We enjoyed our first Irish breakfast, which was nice for a buffet! To the staff who were helpful with our questions like "how do you turn on the power", thank you so much for being such gracious hosts!

I stayed for a two-night break last weekend. Firstly, the car parking situation is a shambles. There is little to no space to park with cars all over the place, parking in front of, behind and horizontally. If you were unlucky you could be blocked in. It is not a safe space to leave a vehicle. Upon check in, we were barely greeted, never mind welcomed. Maybe the girl was having a bad day, I think her name was Michelle. But someone who is that unfriendly should not be on reception where guests are first greeted by staff in my opinion. We arrived at approx. 1pm and were informed check in wasn’t until 4. We said no problem, we would go for a walk around the city. Michelle said she would call us as soon as the room was available – I’m still waiting on the call. Not good enough. We ate in the hotel that evening and it was good. Serving staff were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was fine, had all the usual. Although we really wanted pancakes and were told there were none left, even though it was 8:45am…don’t advertise items you’re not serving. Upon checking out, the two girls at reception barely acknowledged me and said that’s fine. No mention of did you have a nice stay or safe travels. We only found out after checking out they have a loyalty programme, which is something we would have been interested in signing up to. Again, no mention of this to us. The break wasn’t cheap and I don’t think I’ll ever be staying at the Tower Hotel again. Plenty of nicer, better ran hotels in Waterford city.

Exceptional stay. We stayed in beautiful room 310, stunning views of the river and room was immaculate. Had dinner in the bar and were looked after so well although we were in a big rush to get to an event!!! Staff throughout the hotel seemed to genuinely enjoy working there and were all super friendly. Our only disappointment was that we only got to stay for 1 night. Will definitely be back in the future.

So disappointed. Visited on Monday evening for our wedding anniversary. Ordered the "fisherman's treat ". On the menu it said fish chips, mint peas and tartar sauce. I got mould tasting fish, the horrible frozen chips were thrown across the plate , the plain tasting peas were in a paper cup as was the tartar sauce. The steak was more fat than meat and the pepper sauce was way too watery The Guinness.....sour. Will never return. I said goodbye to the waiter while I walked out and he totally ignored me. Naomi was our server and she was so helpful and very good at her job. Very courteous and friendly

Lovely 3 nights at The Tower. Don't normally eat at hotels where we stay as we like to explore local pubs and restaurants. However the meals were good value and they had local beers on tap. Great indoor pool and the staff gave us great customer service. Had some initial problem with air con but they sorted it very quickly. Hotel is right by the Viking Triangle which has the places of interest. Hired a bike and did the Waterford Greenway and so earned myself another lovely pint of Smithwicks from the Hotel.
