It may be a new hotel. There are fewer reviews. I took the risk and tried it. It is very good. It is at JR Wakayama Station. Note that it is Wakayama Station, not Wakayama City Station. Wakayama City Station is the Nankai Line Station. Kansai Airport comes out. JR takes 2 stops to Higeno Station. Transfer and get off at the opposite platform. Take the east exit of Wakayama Station, go straight to the road, exit the east exit, you can see it in front of the left, the hotel has a hot spring, the pool is relatively small, there is no outdoor, it will be bubble relief is good, the lobby also has free coffee supply, walking distance to Kintetsu Department Store (JR station is), Wakayama City, very convenient.

The front desk staff were very helpful!
It was crowded at breakfast, but they added more of the menu items that were out of stock, and we were able to get a seat and the food was delicious.

The price-performance ratio is very high. It should be the best hotel I have stayed in for no less than 20 times in Japan. It is well-equipped, clean and tidy. The room is large, well-structured, and has good soundproofing. Except for the breakfast and the slightly thinner food variety than some other hotels, it can be said that there are no shortcomings. I can give 90-95 points out of 100 points! I was too tired to take pictures, but I really recommend it!

It is a good spot for a solo traveler. Capsules are clean. Towels are provided. There is a small tea and coffee area at the entrance. They also have Chinese-standard plug in the capsule which was handy. Also, I likes the smell of wood.
The worst part is that if you come before check-in, nobody is in there, meaning you will have to stroll around and wait for 16:00.

I want to travel to a quiet neighborhood. I searched Trip.com while taking the train, read the reviews, booked in the evening and went right away.Compared to the cost, it is in the hotel, so the luxury of the hotel and the front desk are friendly and enjoy the hot springs. It was so good. It's amazing that there is such a place.. If you travel to Wakayama, you can hear it.

The hotel room rates in Japan are very high on weekends, so I had to find this hotel with a relatively low price increase. It's hard to describe. The location is good, although the surroundings are desolate. It's convenient to walk a few minutes from the JR station. The building is shabby, the room facilities are shabby, and everything is terrible. The room smells heavily of smoke, but the hygiene is acceptable. The sound insulation is also very poor. But it's cheap, so I'll put up with it!

Hotel is conveniently located on top of the train station and is connected to a mall. Love that they have free curry rice as well as a drink for those who stay with them. If you are parking, park at the rooftop and then walk over thru a connector which leads you to the conference/event halls. Thereafter, take the lift down to the lobby. If you don’t do this, you will have to do a bit of a walk around to reach the lobby. Parking is 1000yen per day but you have to have the ticket validated first at the lobby before you head out.

Location is very good and near JR station.
Complimentary breakfast is a plus. However, there is no Onsen or public bath. Bathroom is rather small.
Overall it’s good value for the money paid :)
We have opened our first accommodation under Ito-Wokashi Hotel Management Co., Ltd. in Misonocho, Wakayama City! -Concept of Misono Oyado- The interior is designed in a modern Japanese style with a dark brown color scheme. The furniture and cutlery are stylishly crafted from warm wooden materials, creating a cozy atmosphere. We welcome you into a serene Japanese space, featuring sandalwood incense at the entrance. This property has been renovated from an empty house located in a shopping street. The first floor serves as a shared space accessible to the public, while the second and third floors are exclusively available for guests to rent the entire building. On the second floor, we have a tea space where you can enjoy hojicha (roasted green tea) and "Kawazoe Tea," a black tea produced in Wakayama Prefecture. For the hojicha, please enjoy it directly in the teapot with the tea bag. We also offer two types of coffee: one with deep richness and pleasant bitterness, and another with a refreshing acidity. Additionally, we are excited to introduce a new blend of coffee infused with Kawazoe Tea from Wakayama Prefecture. This coffee preserves the flavor of the tea leaves, offering a refreshing taste that allows you to enjoy a sense of Japanese culture even in your coffee experience. As a delightful treat, We also carry Kishu's famous confectionery, ``Wakaura Senbei,'' as tea sweets., for your enjoyment. Our bedding and original samue (traditional Japanese workwear) are made from "Wazarashikyou" gauze, ensuring you a restful sleep without carrying travel fatigue into the next day. For those exploring the area, we have geta (traditional Japanese wooden sandals) available at the entrance for your convenience. ※Please note that our facility operates unmanned, so you will need to complete the check-in process yourself. Please be sure to read the message sent to you three days before check-in.

Outstanding
GGuest UserCandeo is right on Wakayama-Shi Train station, which makes it incredibly convenient. Sound-proofing ensures perfect sleep and no disturbance from trains or traffic etc. The staff accepted early check-in at 2pm and were incredibly courteous, professional, English-speaking and kind. Really excellent.
Some large Japanese hotel chains are not entirely geared to the ”international market” and the attitude to non-Japanese guests can be less than ideal.
NOT CANDEO. The staff are comfortable with an international clientele, cheerful and welcoming. How wonderful!
The entire hotel is extremely clean and well-run. Everything says ”professional”. The flower arrangements on each floor are REAL. Flowers are extremely expensive in Japan.
The view from the reception area (Floor 11) is fantastic. The spa (Floor 12) is open air, with a great view and a magical feel.
I enjoyed my stay very much and I hope to return to Candeo soon.
MMK SanThe hotel is walking distance to Wakayama castle.
The rooms are clean because it’s a renovated hotel this year.
The morning breakfast buffet is amazing. A varieties of food are there. And also many kinds of drinks are there.
SSI YUE BONNYWe absolutely cannot contain our elation when recalling our recent stay at this remarkable hotel. From the moment we stepped into the elevator adorned with personalized name cards, my husband and I were enveloped in the warm embrace of hospitality. The attention to detail and the genuine kindness of the staff made us feel like VIP guests. They also thoughtfully provided a bucket for us to indulge in the glowing enchantment of firecrackers and even tidied the mess up afterwards.
But the best memory of our stay here was definitely the culinary experience given by the chef extraordinaire — Master Chef Matsuki. His creations were nothing short of a gastronomic revelation. Each dish was a testament to his unwavering dedication and profound respect for the ingredients. Oh, the flavors — titillating all our taste buds in every bite. And the generosity of Chef Matsuki in sharing his culinary wisdom, guiding us on how to savor each morsel, elevated the entire dining experience to sheer perfection.
The language barrier was no obstacle to the remarkable team of staff members who graced us with their presence. Their command of the English language was commendable, and even those who were not entirely fluent went above and beyond to cater to our every whim and need. Their genuine desire to assist us was palpable, leaving us feeling truly valued and cared for.
I am already making plans to return with my beloved family, as I know they too deserve to bask in the unparalleled warmth and luxury that this establishment exudes. This hotel has set the bar impossibly high, redefining the meaning of hospitality and creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
So if you seek a hotel experience that transcends mere accommodation and transforms into a symphony of opulence, impeccable service, and culinary artistry, then look no further. This is the epitome of hospitality, a sanctuary where dreams come true, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who craves an unforgettable journey of indulgence and delight.
GGuest UserThe overall environment and breakfast and dinner are all good. I booked a sea view room with a bathroom. When I booked, I mistakenly thought that the room had a private hot spring bath. I went there and found out that it was only a public one. It is beautiful near the sea, very quiet, and a pleasant holiday choice! From 3:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon, free drinks and ice cream are provided, which can be chosen. The Japanese bath robes at the front desk can be freely selected in patterns and colors, which are very beautiful for taking pictures.
GGuest UserAs soon as I entered the corridor and buried the room, I already felt good. There is a small entrance before entering the room, and I feel that the design is very meticulous.
Sitting on the terrace listening to the sound of the rain feels good healing, and after the heavy rain, the sound of the waves is even more intoxicated. There are some thoughts, open a terrace glass door, and listen to the sound of the waves. If it is not a big rain, the weather is a little cold, it is really a stage bath.
Breakfast with sea view and dinner, preparation, all Greek dishes, very careful, super satisfied.
GGuest Userspacious rooms, large beds, enough spaces for opening two suitcases
no breakfast but only the bakery
nice view from room
easy access to 黑潮市場
got shuttle in front of hotel to railway station
GGuest UserThe double room I booked was so small that I suspected I was given the wrong room, but the toiletries were double, which meant it was this big. It's close to the station, the breakfast was ok, and the service was OK!
GGuest UserVery cost-effective hotel. The room is very clean and tidy, and the hotel's service is also very good. If you arrive early, your luggage can be kept for you. The breakfast variety is rich and delicious for the price. It is very convenient to go to the city center with JR. I will stay here again when I go to Tokushima in the future.
GGuest UserThe hotel has a quiet environment and is suitable for self-driving tours. The rooms are comfortable and clean. When taking a shower, you have to boil the water and wait about 5 minutes for hot water. The hotel staff are very kind and they provide a welcome drink when you check in. The breakfast restaurant is on the fifth floor, the hot spring is on the third floor, there are massage chairs and coffee and tea buffets in the lounge on the second floor, and there is a souvenir shop in the lobby.
GGuest User#Praise#For mosquito control measures, hotel smell, bedding comfort, location, toiletries, room lighting satisfaction; I like this hotel so much! It is also an ideal hotel! The so-called ideal is that every aspect is very practical! Although there is no breakfast, there is a refrigerator microwave in the room. It is very convenient to buy and eat at the nearby convenience store supermarket. The room is large and the bathroom is large, and the toiletries are complete to even the curling stick! The kettle said that the insulation can be kept warm for one night, not to mention that it is so cheap not far from the station! I will only live here on the West Line in the future. ps: This ideal hotel comes from a 40-generation hotel that has lived in various large and small Japanese hotels in a variety of sizes and sizes. Lightning avoidance and mentioning that this store has no elevator, large boxes of passengers should be cautious.
