Matanivusi Beach Eco Resort

Last minute booking for a winter break away. I emailed direct as wanted to ensure there was a yoga instructor onsite during my dates. Very communicative and super easy to deal with - the booking process was straight forward. It appears you can only book direct and not via a 3rd party - fine by me. Transfer from Nadi Airport was 2.5-3hrs - easy check in and that reflected my 5 day stay. All staff acknowledged me by name, were welcoming and nothing was a problem. The room was super clean and tidy with daily service. Meals were outstanding and easily amended to suit dietary requirements. Great pool and hot tub. The yoga was led by Sarah and it was great. She adapted class depending on participants and it varied each time. I did not surf but everyone appeared impressed with services and conditions. I did snorkel 1 day - it was fine - not amazing but was told I'd missed out on the better location. Since my return to NZ, I've spread the word and would highly recommend, solo's, friend's, couples and families - all were in attendance during my stay. Thank you so much team and I hope to return on my next Fiji break.

Wow, what an incredible experience. Although I could only stay 4 nights, the entire staff made my (70 birthday!) visit the best one ever. They even gave me a birthday party and cake. Surf guide Nick and Samu were amazing, and really helped me navigate waves and stay positive. Would highly recommend this classy and well-maintained resort to any solo, couple or group. Well worth the drive out the busier Nadi area. Thanks everyone at Matanivusi for a lifetime 10 rated adventure!

Matanivusi is a splurge and a bit off the beaten track (about 3hours from Nadi, slightly less from Suva) but well worth the effort to get there and worth every penny. The only thing warmer than the weather are the wonderful staff. Being a small resort (only 12 villas) they know everyone by first name. The customer service is excellent, the meals are outstanding and the villas are beautiful. There was plenty of activities to do, or just chill by the pool or read on your private deck. Simply heaven for surfers and yogis. The most picturesque yoga studio Ive ever had the pleasure of practicing in. Our first time staying there - we hope to go back again.

Our experience at Matanivusi Eco Resort for our wedding week was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the resort embraced us like family, making our special occasion unforgettable. The location is simply stunning. The rooms are modern and airy with this beautiful raised boardwalk winding through the trees. The food was exceptional. They were able to cater to the fussy eaters and it definitely was plentiful! The staff were exceptional. They are truly the heart of this resort, making our time there incredibly memorable. Brian and Donna, the resort owners, deserve special recognition for creating such a paradise. Their warm welcome and commitment to sustainability was evident in every detail of the resort. Tony, who coordinated our wedding preparations and trip, was outstanding. His quick and responsive communication ensured that every aspect of our big day was flawlessly organised and stress free. Once we arrived, Seini was amazing, ensuring that our group's every need was effortlessly taken care of whilst becoming one of the gang. Our wedding at Matanivusi Eco Resort was more than we could have imagined. Had the good fortune to stay at Matanivusi Eco Surf Resort early November 2023. On arrival it was beyond our expectations. The place is amazing from staff, accommodation, food and activities, they have it all covered. We surfed Frigates Pass every 2nd day never more than 6 in the water. The local breaks at your door step were so much fun, un crowded. Had session at Frigates pumping 6ft just with Brian (owner). We had one really windy day. My wife had plenty to do while I surfed with my boys 14 and 17. Matanivusi is a luxury intimate resort with the bonus of quality waves on hand and the food wow! I miss every staff member, all beautiful people. Can’t wait to get back there

We surfed Frigates Pass every 2nd day, never more than 6 surfers in the water. The local breakers at your door steps were so much fun, no crowds. Had a session with just Brian ( owner) 6ft Pumping Frigates. We had one really windy day .My wife had plenty to do while I surfed with my 2 boys 14 and 17 . Matanivusi is a luxury, intimate resort with the bonus of uncrowned quality waves on hand and the food wow ! Can’t wait to get back there.
