Mari del Sud Resort

I recently stayed at this hotel, which is beautifully situated in the middle of the island, offering breathtaking views of both the volcano and the sea. The location and scenery are undoubtedly its strongest points. However, the overall experience did not live up to the hotel's 4-star rating. The room we were given was not properly cleaned, and although I had explicitly booked for three people, there was no linen provided for my child's bed. This forced my child to sleep with me in the main bed, which was not what I expected. Additionally, there was no cover for the mattress—a basic necessity that should be standard in any hotel, let alone a 4-star one. Our experience at the restaurant was disappointing as well. The food was mediocre, with the fish clearly being frozen, which is especially unacceptable given the island setting. We had booked dinner during midsummer, and a kids' menu was promised at the time of reservation. Yet, nothing was prepared for our child, and the staff had to scramble to arrange something at the last minute. We didn't receive our first dish until around 10 PM, by which time our 2-year-old had already fallen asleep. The staff was generally okay, but the service at the restaurant left much to be desired. The waitress who served us was not particularly friendly, which added to the overall sense of disappointment. In summary, while the hotel's location and views are stunning, the service and attention to detail were lacking. The stay did not meet the standards expected of a 4-star hotel, and I cannot recommend it based on our experience.

Bad service and over charging. Service with a scowl. Front of house moaned when we asked to sit by the sea as per our booking. My wife explained that she was vegan and if she could have a salad and focaccia. She was recommended the bresaola salad without the bresaola. The other pizza arrived, then a 5 min wait for the salad which arrived with the bresaola and after my wife complained they just removed the bresaola. Not really the done thing, so they remade the salad, which was essentially a bowl of carrot and iceberg. Focaccia arrives after another 15 minutes after repeated reminders. Bill arrives with full charge for bresaola salad and after reminding them that it was just a bowl of iceberg they took 2euro from the dish. Poor service, poor food, bad experience.

Piacevole soggiorno ai mari del sud. Staff gentile e disponibile. A bordo piscina il barman Federico ci ha deliziato e rinfrescato con i suoi cocktail preparati con passione minuziosa.

Soggiorno fantastico al Mari del Sud! Il ristorante è ottimo, piatti curati e saporiti, con grande varietà. Il servizio è molto buono, sempre puntuale e cortese. L’estetica del resort è davvero bellissima, curata in ogni dettaglio, e la piscina è splendida, perfetta per rilassarsi. Ma il vero punto di forza per me è stato il barman della piscina, FEDERICO un ragazzo educatissimo, gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. I suoi cocktail sono veramente eccezionali, preparati con grande maestria e passione. Ha reso ogni momento in piscina speciale! Super consigliato, tornerò sicuramente!

È il secondo anno che vengo qui con la mia famiglia.. che dire? È un'oasi di paradiso immerso nel verde con vista sul cratere. La piscina è meravigliosa (peccato che il bar della piscina fosse chiuso) per non parlare del ristorante che si affaccia sul mare. Consiglio solamente di tenere il make up dentro la cassaforte dato che mi è sparito un cosmetico dopo che hanno rifatto la stanza🙈

Ai primi di maggio , con la struttura ancora chiusa perchè apriva a giugno ho prenotato due camere matrimoniali, all'atto del prenotazione non mi è stato chiesto che tipologia standard classic o altro, mi hanno assegnato una camera con il letto da un lato addossato al muro e l'altra camera era per disabili, entrambe con diversi disagi, sul sito si vedono camere diverse, considerata la prenotazione fatta con anticipo mi sarei aspettato camere diverse. Sarebbe un bel pò da migliorare. Personale impegnato in tutti i campi eccellente, e sempre pronto ad esaudire ogni richiesta. Colazione e ristorazione ottima.
