Hotel Villa Porta All'Arco

We chose a room at the front with Aircon. Booked through ***********. we had many different instructions on how to access the place but managed to get in in the end. Car parking is hit and miss and there are only really four spaces without blocking others in. Our room was tiny and nothing like the pictures on the internet. First problem was that the room door would not stay shut without a severe slam. It was cracked so light from the hall shone through. There was one paper cup in the bathroom for two of us. The bedside drawer had a couple of screwed up drinks bottles in it that a previous guest had left. Breakfast was vegan with a large choice of cakes, they all tasted like sawdust apart from the ones with mould spots on the underside. Beware if you are not very fit because it is a very steep walk to the town gate and some of that walk is on a busy road with no pavement for pedestrians.

It is such a beautiful House , excellent service, vegan breakfast…. As meat eater we were skeptical but you have such an assortment of breads and spreads and fruit that you miss nothing else. Coffee was sooooo good. Maria Rosaria was so helpful and friendly and made check in so easy. Location was perfect, some stairs away from the center and still offered parking. Breakfast in a beautiful garden, Tuscan style. Can definitely recommend for a short stay in Volterra.

Ce n est pas un vrai hôtel , mais un B and B, Il est donc difficile d obtenir ses clefs, bien qu on ait réalisé l enregistrement au préalable, L hôtel est excentre, a 5 minutes de marche( en hauteur ) de la ville,quelques places de parking pour se garer un peu difficilement, Le mobilier est assez basique, Pas de télé, de plateau de courtoisie pour le café, Le ballon d eau chaude siffle, Petit déjeuner en sous sol ou en terrasse dehors,Seul fait positif, en fait, une couverture bien chaude,

Partendo da pregi la struttura è esteticamente bella, la ragazza dell'accoglienza e quella della colazione super gentili. Vicinissimo all'ingresso delle mura a porta all'arco. Per il resto, ci hanno dato la stanza dei disabili dicendoci che purtroppo qualcuno doveva prendersela. Il problema è che il water è alto e quasi non toccavo. E poi essendo per disabili non c'è il piatto doccia, perciò con due docce nonostante la pendenza abbiamo allagato mezzo bagno. Inoltre dal muro continuava a stattaccarsi pezzetti di intonaco. La parte peggiore comunque è che si sentiva qualsiasi cosa dal piano di sopra!! Troppo rumore. Noi avevamo la camera subito attaccata all'ingresso, sentivamo chiunque entrava o usciva.

Bel soggiorno in una camera matrimoniale pulita e in un complesso tranquillo. Arrivati in moto e parcheggiato nel cortile.Prenotata anche colazione consumata l'indomani nel giardino.Enrico il titolare è una persona simpatica e disponibile.

La posizione è sicuramente buona: il punto di forza secondo me della struttura è che si trova poco distante da una delle porte della vecchio centro abitato, circa una decina di minuti a piedi, ed offre nel contempo la possibilità di un parcheggio privato. Su questo però vanno precisate due cose, la prima è che potrebbe non bastare per i veicoli di tutte le persone alloggiate, la seconda è che non è chiuso con un cancello, sussiste soltanto una catena in corrispondenza del carraio che peraltro, anche la sera, io ho sempre trovato inutilizzata, quindi in teoria alla portata di eventuali malintenzionati. La struttura è data da una casa signorile credo di circa un secolo, circondata da un giardino non particolarmente grande né bello, ma che comunque nell' insieme dà secondo me un aspetto elegante. Camere pulite ed interni curati, si respira una atmosfera gradevole di un certo passato. Noti negative: manca l' ascensore, le camere, vicine alla strada, non sono insonorizzate e si può avvertire con una certa frequenza il rumore del passaggio delle moto. Del parcheggio interno ho detto, nulla posso dire circa la colazione perché non ne ho usufruito. Sicuramente prezzo non a buon mercato, comunque ci ritornerei.
