This is an honest, no-frills two star hotel with older, but clean and well maintained furnishings. No TV, room safe, minibar - it's two stars after all, and I found this even somehow relaxing after experiences with so-called "four stars" hotels where there was a safe, minibar and TV, but none of it worked right... My room was fine, with a balcony (they have rooms with and without one), a private bathroom and even an additional washbasin in the room (my guess is that the room originally didn't have a bathroom and the "extra" washbasin remained in place when it was added). Basic soap, shower gel and quite a lot of towels were provided. Comfortable bed with height adjustable head section of the bed frame. The hotel has a good restaurant serving Swiss country inn dishes such as rösti, Cordon bleu, schnitzel. I didn't use WLAN, but there seemed to be a strong signal in my room. Friendly staff. The included breakfast had a basic selection in continental light breakfast style (croissants, bread, cereals, some cheese etc.; good coffee). The only things which should be improved, in my opinion, are the narrow time frames for checking in / out (check in was from 16:00 to 20:00, check out from 08:00-10:00) and the sometimes (depending on weekday / holidays) early closing time of the restaurant. Location wise, it couldn't be better and easier to reach with public transport, directly at the main stop of the postal bus in Visperterminen, but it was still quiet (as Visperterminen is a rather quiet place in general). There might be accessibility issues, as I had to use stairs.
