Hôtel Bahia

Safety and security are important here so you need a code or a key to enter and exit the hotel campus or swimming pool. That may be reassuring to some of you. The hotel is set in expansive gardens and there is a lovely pool area and direct access to the hotel's private beach and the Mediterranean sea. The Géant supermarket is just across the road and there are many fine restaurants in the area. There is a train station nearby and a bus stop for the Nice-Cannes route. However it is worth considering hiring a car as the hotel is at the edge of town and not really centrally located. There is an interesting design to this building which has a 1970s but exotic look. See photos. Most rooms have fine balconies although the decor is a little dated. Some rooms face the road, Be sure to ask for a room with a sea view. The hotel is quiet and private - ideal for sun worshippers and beach lovers alike. The Bahia is a three-star hotel. It is clean and comfortable and better than your average hotel. it is certainly a better option than the nearby Hotel Syracuse Best Western which has little by way of comparable facilities.

This place was very disappointing. We arrived for our honeymoon and was so excited to stay here after seeing the pictures online but we’re very dissatisfied the whole time. When we checked in the room was very dirty - there were stains all over the walls, dirty coffee cups, marks all over the bathtub, and stains on the headboard. The whole room smelt awful and reaked of cigarettes. We immediately asked for another room but the hotel was full. Also we had a terrace but it over looked the parking lot and did not feel very safe. One of the ladys that worked there offered us free breakfast because of our dirty room but that did help because we still had to stay in a dirty room. The cleaning lady came back and changed the coffee mugs and sprayed a few spots on the wall but my husband had to do a lot of the cleaning himself to try and get the place livable. We tried to air out the smell by keeping the windows opened but it barely worked. We were trying to see if we could get a refund and book somewhere else but because we prepaid we wouldn’t be able to get all of our money back. Also, 2 out of the 3 days we were here, we were not given access to the private beach because it was full. The only reason we booked this hotel was for the beach so this was very disappointing. We were able to get spots by the pool but it was filled with screaming kids the whole time and also seemed very dirty. This place is rated a 3 star hotel but should be rated a 1 star hotel because of how dirty and run down it is. Graffiti on the pool chairs, elevator doesn’t work, etc. The pictures posted are from after the SECOND round of cleaning.

Seconda volta, perché è un passo dalla spiaggia e ci si addormenta cullati dalle onde; perché consente di visitare le località più affascinanti e suggestive della Costa azzurra ad un prezzo accessibile; perché è un albergo di medie dimensioni, ma tranquillo; bello il giardino con grandi palme che lo circonda; parcheggio e wi-fi gratuito, buon livello di pulizia con prodotti per l'igiene personale nella toilette; stanza piccolina ma ben sistemata, c'è il frigobar, l'asciugacapelli e il bollitore con te e Nescafè a disposizione; carino il terrazzino esterno che si affaccia sul giardino; gradevole colazione con dolce e salato; vicino alle principali linee di autobus per Nizza e dintorni, e non distantissimo dalla stazione ferroviaria; e un piacevole presente profumatissimo in camera.. direttamente da Grasse.. !
