The room size is quite small, suitable for a solo traveler or a stay of no more than two nights. The walls are thin, so you can hear people walking and talking outside. The breakfast is tasty but lacks variety. The location is convenient, as it is close to a shopping mall. However, the elevator service is insufficient for the number of guests. Many Chinese tourists staying at the hotel showed poor etiquette, smoking in non-smoking areas and causing the entire hotel to smell unpleasant. On the other hand, some guests were polite and respectful, adhering to universal manners. The reception staff provided good service, which was a positive highlight of the stay.

The renovated rooms are nice, however the aircon was not working properly and staff could not fix it. I checked the filters and was shocked how dirty they are. So I manually cleaned the filters, dried them, installed them back on and voila - air-conditioning is working properly. The next guest in this room should thank me. Also, the hotel should probably pay me for the fix haha .. P.S. Hotel staff does not speak any English, not even Lao.. they seem to be Chinese.

Cleanliness: bedsheets and bathroom were perfectly clean, but the rest of the room was just so so Location: fantastic location with lots of restaurants , shops, cafes, and bars nearby. Service: Staff were helpful and even helped us order a cab to the station, plus 24/h cafes is really convenient! Amenities: The room had some little things in a state of disrepair, but overall, it was very comfortable. The cafe was a little expensive for the area, but had a lovely space, good wifi, and many electric outlets. It was great for hanging out and when I had remote work to do. Pool was lovely, too, with a nice view. I strongly recommend this hotel as a comfortable and convenient option.

I love the hotel. You can think the hotel look small if you see in entrance, however, when you enter the hotel, inside is very big area roundabout, hotel restaurant and many relaxation decoration with spiral staircase to swimming pool which make me chill a lot. Staff are helpful and familiar. The location is very convenient with the central area. Famous restaurant are just 5min walk and also can see the fountain at the road junction where a few min away. I was happy in my vacation and make me satisfied my solo trip.

Beautiful new hotel, great location near night market and walking distance from landmarks. For those seeking iconic landmarks, the Hard Rock Cafe Vientiane was just a five-minute stroll away. This convenient location proved invaluable throughout my stay. The staff at the Riverside Hotel truly deserve a special mention. Their genuine friendliness and helpfulness were a constant source of warmth during my visit. The family-run atmosphere added a personal touch, making me feel welcome and cared for. I was particularly impressed when they accommodated my early check-in at 8.30am (arriving from Bangkok) without hesitation – a huge relief after a long travel day. Thank you again, Riverside Hotel! My room on the 6th floor offered a delightful surprise – a balcony with a view of the city. The room itself was clean, neat, and thoughtfully simple, perfectly suited to my needs. A personal highlight was the separate shower area in the bathroom – a detail that promotes hygiene and creates a more comfortable experience. While the breakfast selection wasn't vast, it was well-maintained and offered a decent variety. The fresh fruits were a particular delight, and I would love to see more vegetarian options added in the future – a minor suggestion for improvement. Housekeeping did a fantastic job, changing towels daily and keeping the room clean and tidy throughout my stay.

It's far away from city centre but with beautiful view of Mekong and free shuttle car to centre. Hotel is huge and rooms are spacious. Staff is kind and professional. Breakfast is not continental style... not even available a cappuccino or espresso coffee.
