I booked 2 rooms at the Voco Prater Vienna - 18 - 23 August. On arrival the rooms were very clean and of a good size, however, we were all very disappointed with the following: * The bar was shut for the week, apparently due to staff shortages. * The restaurant was shut for the week, again apparently due to staff shortages. * The cooked element of Breakfast was poor, I have been in the catering industry and a chef for over 30 years and without having to substantiate everything, please take my word for it, it was poor. Croissants, continental and coffee etc was fine though. * Housekeeping. The room didn't get cleaned on 2 of the days we were there. Toilet rolls not replenished - we had to go to reception to ask for more and collect it ourselves later that night -seemed to difficult to deliver. Cups and saucers were not cleaned, coffee making facilities not replenished. Bathroom was not cleaned each day or towels replaced when needed, again we had to go to reception to collect some. It appeared that when the room was supposedly cleaned, all that was apparent to have been done was to have the quilts folded in half and placed back on the beds - pretty poor really, I'm sure the excuse would be staff shortages if we asked. It did de-tract somewhat of our stay in Vienna, and not worthy the 1500 euros we paid. All very quick and simple to sort, but obviously lacking an efficient management structure. On the whole very poor and not what I'd expect of IHG hotels. On the other hand, the following night we stayed in the Voco Manchester and it was absolutely excellent. Something is obviously going awry/adrift with the Voco Vienna. All in all I would have expected a better customer service from this site/Hotel.
