On the recommendation of friends, who have been visiting Hotel Aequa for many years, my sister and I booked 6 nights with a picture perfect seaside view room overlooking the Gulf of Naples with Mt. Vesuvius in the distance. Giacomo was great at communicating with me before the trip, booked a car for me to transport us from Naples Airport, and booked us excursions to Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii, Positano, and Amalfi. We also enjoyed dinner there, and breakfasts were a giant buffet of so many delicious choices. We also enjoyed lounging by the beautiful pool. La dolce vida!

Nice hotel with amazing Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius views. A special thanks to the amazing personnel, especially Mr Ciro. Awesome location, very close to the train station, you can get to Sorrento by train ( 10 minutes) and Pompei ( 20 minutes). From Sorrento it's easy to get to the Amalfi coast, either by boat or bus. Breakfast was good but expected more choices, a plus was that they offered fresh espresso and cappuccino at the bar.

Stayed here for 7 nights in June. Location is ideal very close to the train station and town with many restaurants. Train to Sorrento is 10/15 mins. Beautiful view from the terrace where we enjoyed our coffee after breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble and staff are very friendly. Giacomo was extremely helpful with my booking from before we arrived as I was not sure of which room to choose with 4 people in our group up to when we were checking out. Pool area was perfect with bar service and no issue with finding loungers in June. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would love to return to this hotel again

Like the last review we too were underwhelmed but we made the most of our short stay. Positives : the location (lovely village and close to station), the pool is fantastic, the beds are super comfy and close to good restaurants (tito’s across the road v good) Negatives: the common areas are dirty, unvacuumed and not hygienic; the entire hotel is in need of restoration and love; the breakfast didn’t offer enough hot options and did not feel 4* at all. Sadly did not feel we got value for money.

The staff here are fantastic and we enjoyed our 9 day stay here very much. The hotel team are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is very clean and room staff do an immaculate job each day. Giacomo can also book tours and car hire, and helped us with any queries we had. We had a fantastic view of Vesuvius and the bay of Naples from our balcony. There is a great variety of food for breakfast and the hotel is well place for exploring the town and very convenient for the train station too. We found an amazing bakery close to the hotel called Andrea and Gianni pasticceria. Our 3 kids 14,10,8 all enjoyed the pool area which is very well maintained and clean. The hotel is very child friendly. Many thanks to Giacomo and his hard working team. Grazie mille!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a week in May 2024. We highly recommended it, the staff were lovely & really looked after us. I celebrated my 55th birthday whilst there and our Travel Sphere rep Dr Karina together with the hotel chef arranged for a birthday cake.

We stayed 4 nights in April in a 'Superior Mare' room, with a good view from the balcony towards the 'pool and bay. The pool wasn't yet open, until early May, but we could see it would be great to have. Breakfasts were really good & substantial, and all the staff were friendly and really helpful, from the desk to the dining-room. It was great to come back to Vico Equense after a crowded Sorrento..the station is only about 3 minutes walk, and we used the Curreiri bus to/from the hotel for Naples airport..stop about 50 metres up the road opposite the Curreiri office. We would certainly stay here again!

Friendly staff, great facility, beautiful swimming pool and enough sun loungers for us all! views across to vesuvius, great stuff we were a large group so the menu was set for us - some days the food was great, some I was less sure, but that was the only reason it's not scored 5 with me

Stayed here for two nights. Beautiful location. Stunning views of the sea and Vesuvius — very nice for sipping on a glass of wine as the sun sets. Right in the centre of Vico and a three-minute walk from the station, providing easy access to Sorrento and Pompei/Herculaneum/Napoli. I would’ve given it 5* but the room we got was very dated, although I did go for the cheapest room available. Another drawback was the lack of a proper window - we had one frosted window which, when opened, overlooked a flat roof which wasn’t especially clean. The room was quite dark and dingy. I think many of the rooms have been refurbished and they are probably a lot nicer (they certainly look it in the pictures). Can’t fault the staff. Pool was very nice too. Didn’t eat here in the evening but the breakfast was sufficient. All in all, I would stay here again, although probably not in the same room.
