DOLPHIN COTTAGE Dolphin Cottage is a classic 1950’s Florida beachside community cottage home with a cool retro Florida feel (1950's painted shiplap walls, quirky but fun seaside cottage layout), which has been updated and refreshed with stylish and comfortable modern touches to create a cozy vintage-meets-modern, east-meets-west, beachy vibe. It is the fourth closest home to the beautiful tropical lifeguarded white sand beaches and sparkling waters at Vero Beach's acclaimed South Beach Park! The home is fun for family members of all ages and generations. While the home is certainly no mansion, Dolphin Cottage offers several good size spaces for everyone to gather together to eat, drink or play, and separate indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy. Dolphin Cottage has 3 bedrooms; 1 King Bedroom, 1 Double Twin plus Trundle Bedroom, and 1 Studio Apartment Style Ensuite 2 Bunk (4 Twin) Bedroom with Kitchenette. It also boasts 2 full bathrooms (1 with bathtub), several good size living and dining spaces, one main kitchen and one kitchenette. The home offers easy beach access just steps from the front door. Take the beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach cart provided at Dolphin Cottage, walk across the street and onto the boardwalk through the mangroves to the beautiful tropical white sand beaches at South Beach Park! LOGGERHEAD, GREEN and LEATHERBACK, OH MY! Vero Beach is one of the most important sea turtle nesting sites in North America. The beaches near Dolphin Cottage are popular nesting sites for several species of sea turtles, including loggerhead, green and leatherback. There are steps that you can take to help us protect these magnificent creatures. During Turtle Nesting Season (March 1st to October 31st): never approach nesting or hatching turtles, never walk on or disturb turtle nests (they look like sand mounds and are often taped off and labeled with orange tape), and use only red light flashlights if walking on the beach at night. SPACE EXPLORATION SpaceX and NASA rocket launches are often visible from the beach or yard at Dolphin Cottage. Check calendars for launch dates and times.
