The Islander Inn

Terrific location - truly walking distance from the beach, and also walking distance from restaurants of various price points. The hotel is old-style Florida - well kept courtyard, small pool area with good number of chairs and mix of shade and sun. Nice places to sit outside your room. And a nice vibe of guests quietly enjoying the space without disturbing others. The manager and staff are lovely - warm, helpful, and visibly present. All the little things worked well - beach chairs for the beach were always available; easy to get more beach towels when we needed them; and a fun happy hour on Friday evening, plus the coffee and muffins each morning. Parking worked exactly as expected - we got a hotel-reserved spot every night except one, and on that night we easily parked just a few spots over without any trouble. Everything was fully as advertised and nicer overall than we expected. The rooms were very clean, airy, and the AC worked very well. Excellent water pressure and temperature. Probably the only things I'd quibble about would be walls a bit thin (note that we were never disturbed by our neighbours, even though we could hear them from time to time), bed very firm (fine for sleeping, but would have helped to have a few more (and plusher) pillows for reading in bed), and though they've made a valiant effort at adding spots for charging, I wished for one that was directly beside the bed, since I use my phone to tell the time if I wake up at night. Again - very, very minor issues. An fun bonus was that our room number happened be our son's player number - apt since we were there to watch him during highschool spring training at the Jackie Robinson complex, an easy 20 minute drive away. Our stay was lovely, and we'd definitely return.

We love the Islander ! The rooms are clean and bright, and the location in the middle of central beach cannot be beat. The staff is kind and efficient, and look to make the guests feel welcome. The entire property is relaxed and charming, and we especially enjoy the outside spaces and the delicious coffee in the morning. Thank you! We will, of course, be back!

Second time here by myself. Ideal location to park the car and walk a few blocks to the beach, shops, cafes and resturants. Rooms and clean and I feel very safe in this location. The general manager Jeff is a wonderful manager, very pleasant and accomadating. If I get back to Vero Beach this is where I will stay!

We loved this little hotel. Jeff and Ramon are awesome! It’s like a little hidden gem. Very well located in a cute area of shops, restaurants and beach. The morning coffee and muffins were so tasty and very convenient. We loved our room with only one exception, the bed. I hate to even mention it but I also would hate for the ownership to not know. It would be a shame for them not to replace the mattress in room 25. Otherwise, everything is perfect!!! Thank you for a great week of rest and relaxation.

This was such a hidden gem. Jeff the General Manager was a great host to his guests. Parking was great, happy hour, breakfast bar, property was very well kept and our room was clean and equipped with everything we needed. You can walk to everything! Great shops, good food everywhere. Recommendations - Sailfish Brewery, Tuna Nachos are legit! Kilwin's Ice Cream, Ryder's Gourmet Market, The Market on Ocean Drive, The Wave Brunch at Costa d'Este. We only had one night but there was so much more to explore if we only had more time. Make the reservations, you won't regret it!
