Thank you so much for the complimentary upgrade to a lovely room with probably the best view in Venice-of San Giorgio across the Lagoon. Also for the brut to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary which was a kind and thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Location of the hotel is perfect, so close to St Mark’s Square and at San Zacarria vaporatti stop. We also arrived by water taxi virtually to the front of the hotel. We appreciated the traditional 18th century style decoration with material wall coverings, regency furniture and Murano glass chandeliers. The breakfast room on the top floor also affords the most beautiful views across the Lagoon to both San Giorgio and the Salute in the morning sunshine and of the sunset. If we were to be critical it would be that the the breakfast room is a bit tired but then who looks round the room with that view outside. The breakfast was really good but it was very confused regarding what was included with the reservation and what was extra or I deed even available. . We had to clarify several times and found it a bit strange hiwever the quality of the food and presentation wwere really good and the staff very pleasant and welcoming. A simple menu on the tables would be a big help. On a similar note, it was also very unclear as to when the rooftop bar (which is actually also the breakfast room) was open. We had been told to 11pm and that if it were closed we could simply ask at reception. One evening we returned just before 10pm and finding it closed we did so, only to be told by the night reception that he couldn’t arrange a drink for us as he didn’t know how to make it even though we hadn’t actually said what we wanted. We put this down to low staffing out of high season. That said these issues were minor and didn’t affect our enjoyment of our stay. We would certainly look forward to staying at the Locanda Vivaldi again. It is really good value for its location. The other thing we would suggest is for the hotel could make more of its history and special connection with Vivaldi which is unrivaled in Venice. Would also add that we really appreciated the nightly turn down service from housekeeping who did an excellent job of keeping our room fresh and comfortable each day. Once again thank you for a special stay for our anniversary. Would happily recommend this hotel.

Great Location. Clean room. Wonderful breakfast on the terrace. Very, very friendly and helpful staff. They gave helpful sightseeing suggestion. Location for a local grocery store. All my questions were answered. I would definitely stay there again.

The only place we stay when we’re in Venice. Love the history of this hotel. It is perfectly situated. The staff is fantastic and very knowledgeable. We were thrilled to see Stefano again. Room options are excellent and rooms are very comfortable and well fitted. Breakfast in the hotel and evening snacks and wine are an option. Another major factor for us is that they welcome dogs. We travel with our little Maltipoo. He ran circles of happiness in the room when we arrived for his third visit. There were a couple of staff members this visit and they were wonderful and very representative of the hotel brand and hospitality.

Very elegant hotel, professional staff and very clean. Magnificent view of the canal. Great breakfast with lot's of choices. Highly recommended. Ideally located and a short walk from all the interesting locations like Saint Marks. Will book there again.

We really liked our stay at Locanda Vivaldi. The staff was always there to help with anything and everything we needed, and the room was perfect for what we needed. Of course, we didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the room as we were out exploring Venice, so it was great for us. Just adjacent to St. Mark’s Square and very close to a water bus stop, you can get anywhere you need to go from there. We want to go back! Highly recommend. Have a great trip!!
