Attractive Hotel from the outside, that’s it… Attractive hotel with 1 member of staff and cleaner. Walking distance to the town with nice restaurants cafe bars/shops places of interest. Hotel is tired and needs updating and maintenance. £585 inc taxes!! for a room that was very small,( not room enough for 2 people) dust under the bed & cobwebs on the ceiling, the shower floor was very cracked, needs to be removed and replaced. The food for breakfast was ok. I was disappointed and won’t be returning to this hotel.

Good location, a bit tired It is a lovely property and the breakfasts were super - lots of self service choice, but if you like something hot, then forget it.

We planned on staying 2 nights but didn't stay even for 1 night. Room was tiny, fridge still dirty with olives from previous client in fridge. ice box iced up. Big stain on ceiling, door to room paint flaking off, bathroom shower floor tiles broken and looked dirty. Poolside rough stones and grass surrounding pool mostly soil. No cushion for wooden sunbed so very hard.very noisy due to construction site next door. First time I have ever left a hotel as felt it was not clean.

This hotel offers a good way to visit Vence without feeling hemmed in by tourists. The best things about the hotel are its quiet location, the in-room air conditioning, the swimming pool, and the on-site parking. Note that the English-language description of the hotel on ********** incorrectly states that bed sheets and towels are not available. Of course they are! The location of the hotel is convenient: it is just a few minutes walk to the busy narrow streets of the historical center and is about ten minutes walk to the Matisse Chapel. Another advantage of the hotel is that it is very quiet because it is not right in the center of the crowded town. The hotel is small with only a handful of rooms which makes it cosy. For those people arriving by car, the hotel has convenient on-site parking which costs 8 Euros per night (you need to reserve the parking). Note that the entry to the hotel is on a lower level and you have to go up some stairs to get to the rooms and pool. Nina who greeted us at the reception desk was friendly and helpful. We stayed in room number 2 which is on an upper floor and looks out over the terrace and over the garden next door. The bed was comfortable; the bathroom is small but fully equipped and includes a walk-in shower. Best of all, the in-room air conditioning was very much appreciated and allowed us to get a good night's sleep during July's heatwave. The swimming pool is a major bonus at Villa Roseraie. After a day of sightseeing, it was great being able to take a refreshing dip in the attractive pool and then relax on the loungers. Special large blue towels for swimming are stored in a poolside basket. Breakfast is included in the cost of the room and offers a small range of the usual items, and there are trays so that you can take things out to the terrace and eat in the fresh morning air. But, the quality of the food was fairly disappointing. For example, if you are looking for healthy yoghurt or healthy cereals you will find only sugar-filled options. And, instead of serving bread and pastries from the local bakery that is situated just a few steps down the road, the hotel instead offers unremarkable packaged items from a supermarket. There are a few other things that could be changed to improve the hotel. First, in the terrace and pool area, outdoor speakers play rock music from early in the morning until nighttime. The music is a distraction from enjoying the garden and the Alpes-Maritimes views especially when eating breakfast on the terrace o relaxing by the pool. Second, the room contained a small refrigerator but the freezer compartment needed to be defrosted in order for the fridge to be effective. Third, the room contained a scented deoderiser machine that leaves an artificial perfume smell on clothes and luggage. To summarise: Villa Roseraie is a great place to stay when visiting Vence. Although a few things could be improved, we would consider staying here again.

Absolute Gem! The cutest little hotel. Angela, the concierge was very helpful, and went above and beyond to explain every aspect of the property, and nearby area. Would definitely book again.

We were looking for somewhere quiet with lots of charm and character and happily we found Villa Roseraie - it was the perfect hotel for us. The owners, Nina and Bea (along with Seika the chihuahua and Murphy the cat) were kind, welcoming and really helpful with advice about the area. Our room was spacious, clean and air-conditioned. The garden and small pool were really welcome on hot days. The beautiful, historic old town is only ten minutes walk away, as is the Matisse chapel. Exploring the area is easy by public transport as there are very regular buses nearby to St Paul de Vence, and to Cagnes-sur-Mer (for frequent trains to Cannes, Nice, Antibes and everywhere along the coast.) I would highly recommend this lovely hotel in the hills and would love to come back some day soon.
