Furniture seems dilapidated, only a few rooms have balcony but no chairs or tables. The a/c is very old as well. It works only in a few rooms. In one of the two we got, it worked in one room and in the other, after 2 hrs or running it continuously, the room temperature was still 27C. Wifi is dismal, really poor signal. There is a garage downstairs but we were told to park on the street. Outside are 36C. Don't expect iron in the room. The hair dryer is most likely one of the first built in the world. Not kidding, an antique. Room is clean, the smell comes most likely from the old a/c vents and furniture. The wooden floors have seen better days. On the up side, the service at the -1 level restaurant is good, really nice people. The panoramic restaurant doesn't seem to work, we've seen spider webs from tables to the chairs. We stayed in Bulgaria at very nice hotels, Maria Palace in Balchik for example. I just feel this one is not one of them. Bulgaria is a country with very nice people, it has a big touristic potential. The government and the people with the means to invest in it are sometimes interested more in making money fast than investing in these buildings to bring them to today requirements. Sad to give a negative review but have to warn travelers, at least to know what to expect.
