Veligandu Maldives Resort Island

We spent eight days and seven nights at Veligandu, a most wonderful dream. We had previously visited Meeru, Kuredu and Komandoo resorts under the Champa group. Because of the all inclusive dine around option, we find Veligandu far superior. We looked forward to every meal with gusto as we had lunch at Madivaru and dinners at Raalhu. The quality of the food, freshness of ingredients, passion of the chefs in the small kitchen, and wide selection of beers, wines, juices, and zero alcohol options as I was expecting were amazing. The all day snack menu was high in quality - no frozen nuggets here. Fresh wraps, salads, even gambas! Service across Maldives is always spectacular but here I felt the service staff hired in particular were young, had the passion to serve and were generally extremely joyful to work in the resort. It’s a lovely atmosphere to be served by joyful people. We snorkelled everyday on the house reef in front of the ocean jacuzzi villas - very calm and high visibility in the mornings. The best snorkeling is to be done on the left of the tip of the island from Thundi Bar, where we saw a huge variety of friendly beautiful reef life, sharks, moray eel and some eagle rays. We heard someone saw an octopus. The island in particular is beautifully kept. On some larger islands, the greenery while beautiful can get a bit wild. I noticed there were hardly any mozzies and I got just one bite from a sandfly near the pool one day. Here, the greenery is extremely gorgeous, verdant and flourishing. Kudos to the gardeners and landscapers for such careful attention. As part of our stay we had a complimentary 60 min massage at Himeyn Spa. This is the best spa we’ve been to in the Maldives. Clearly they hire from around the world with expertise in different types of massages like Thai, Balinese, etc. truly excellent and they were very professional with my prenatal massage. We also were gifted a complimentary 30 min photo session with V moments, their photo studio. The photographer was extremely sweet and made us camera shy folks comfortable. The photos turned out amazing. I can’t recommend their service enough. A shoutout to the fitness centre and paddleball session we attended. The gym is the best I’ve seen, well outfitted with modern equipment and a stunning view. Always super clean and never felt the slightest bit crowded. We had great fun playing pickle and paddle ball for the first time. Thank you to Naveen, our amazing host, for checking in with us everyday and making sure every detail of our stay was taken care of. Our housekeeping Mohamed, and daily waiters Ibrahim, Inkar, and so many more, made our meals a joy. Donnie who manages the gym and the sports activities was lovely. We made many amazing core memories for a lifetime and will be back - with our baby!

Breath-taking sea and fabulous climate made this trip a perfect one! I feel extremely lucky to meet Julia, my housekeeper. She is so considerable and friendly and helps us everything. The ocean villa and beach villa both have a beautiful scenery. I had a fantastic time here and will recommend people around me to come!

It's so easily to be amazed by the magnificent views in Veligandu,a great place to snorkeling,friendly stuffs,wonderful buffets for both day and night,last but not least,special thanks to our lovely Lifestyle host Minha who is always there to help with almost everything.

This is an amazing experience for us. The view from seaplane looking over the ring shaped Atolls where the resort is located that made me wonder and looked up Wiki for the country description. The resort is so clean, beautiful and culture rich. The villa is "floating" on sea surface and very private. Overall, we love it. Thank you.
