Best hotel in Varadero. We decided to come back this year, our experience last year was a memorable one, which this time we went with our son and his girlfriend. No complaints at all, best staff you could find, always there to give you an excellent service!! A very special thanks to Ystvan, for making sure our stay was as best as last year!! He made sure and introduced us to his superiors and can't believe how respectful the whole management team is! Rooms are very spacious and always cleaned quickly. The resort is so well located, would take walks to their downtown which was very pleasant to go out and very safe. Best beach and lots of good food. All restaurants a la carte we're excellent!! Will definitely come back!

This resort has it all, can’t tell that you’re in Cuba. The only thing we didn’t have was fresh milk, just mixed powered milk. They were fully staffed which was awesome as there was always someone there who eagerly wanted to assist you. I never had to wait in line for anything. Even while chilling by the pool, they walked around and took drink orders. We didn’t upgrade to Level but never felt like second class guests as they had their own spots so everything we saw we had access too. There was constant entertainment, live musician in the mornings by the pool, live music again at the blue bar around 7pm and then a show at 9:45pm. The only issue was that they didn’t have a stage and performed around the pool so unless you were in the first 3 rows, you couldn’t see the performances, We had tender beef almost everyday, the kids ate at the ice cream shop at least 3 times a day and the snack bar made great burgers, sandwiches and pizza and had a bar with coffee so we never felt the need to do the lunch buffet. Next to the pool was also a mini sandwich buffet with every veggie topping and sauce you wanted. It also had a bar with coffee and bottles of water. We ate at a restaurant every night except Christmas buffet which was so organized and calm with prebooked tables which made it such a pleasant experience. The rooms were spacious and very clean, no smell of mold, quiet and very good A/C and room 4118 was in a quiet area as requested were we never disturbed by sound at night or in the morning. The Dance Club "Space Bar" was on the 10th floor till 1am and you couldn't hear it from the other rooms. The rooms also had your beach towels and a fully stocked mini fridge and gave you a large water bottle daily. Bathrooms everywhere were clean and had toilet paper. This is my 4th hotel at Varadero in the last 2 years and by far the best, highly recommend!

Blue bar morning staff wonderful,Entertainment team superb (Rosa amazing), Tamara in restaurant reservations superb Beach , pool everything was great apart from the weather 2 sunny days out of 7 Thank you and until we visit again Ocean view is superb

Premium not so premium. We are here now over Christmas and I would say this hotels has had better days. We booked through Sunwing a couple of months ago for a Christmas and watched the price drop after all the issues Cuba has had except for this hotel. The price held steady. We thought this was a good sign if it’s quality. Unfortunately we were wrong. We even upgraded upon arrival to the Level service and still got a less than satisfactory room and service. The cons: Many things in the room are broken, moldy due to too much moisture and poor air circulation, staff are fake friendly and not genuine like we have experienced in Cuba before. Never been to Varadero before so maybe the bigger town and bigger resort the staff are worn out and less attentive. Poor drinks, coke or sodas are cheap brands so your famous Cuba Libre is flat, so is the draft beer. Food is Cuba average standard. We had better food at the Coral Holguin last year. Christmas dinner will be Salmon or Beef, no special occasion meal or even lobster. Entertainment is lacking, no show venue onsite. Pool is not heated as we were told. Lots of the Level Inclusions don’t actually exist, you need to request everything like pool towel service or nightly turndown. The pros: Canned beer is from Canada (Moosehead). Good rum is available, too bad about the Coke. The Level concierge folks are attentive however only can do what the rest of the staff can deliver. The kids (over 18) enjoyed the Sky Bar. Lots of restaurant options, will update later once we experience them all. Beach is huge and sand is awesome. Weather hasn’t been great so we haven’t had a chance to enjoy as we normally would. Pool is very large, clean and lots of loungers. The Level service hasn’t shown value yet. Maybe better for the Adults only section. We have one 17 year old so we are in the family area. Overall, I would say we won’t return. We will likely go back to Iberostar Coral Service and a smaller Resort. If you keep your expectations lower at the Melia Internacional, you may enjoy more than we did.

I went on vacation to this hotel for one week with my mom and we were very impressed! The hotel is very big but very easy to navigate though. Lovely palms everywhere and beautiful pools. Very clean. The room was designed in a very modern way, confortsble beds, AC, very large shower. We enjoyed the incredible beach, perfect turquoise waters and white sand. Fully accommodated with umbrellas and plenty of lounging chairs. Love music every night at all the bars, with great shows to follow. We loved the flamenco show! So good! The food at the buffet was quite good, shrimps and scallops as well as sushi were found. Breakfast bar was abundant with cheeses, juices and a variety of delicious baked good although they did not have eggs everyday. The A LA carte restaurants we tried were all very nice, they all had great service, good food and a very elegant atmosphere. A few special thanks to some of the workers who made our stay so enjoyable-our your guide Carlos, was very knowledgeable and helpful! Josue and Lazaro at the red bar, the best waiters, so sweet and kind and very attentive and accommodating! Maydelis, Yoselsny, Estrella, Boris Alexander at the buffet always greeting you with a big smile and impeccable service! And not to forget our pool guy-Ayrovis, he is a super nice guy, very kind and friendly and helped us with a fresh towel, and to blow up our floatie! big thanks to all of these wonderful people! Miss you already! We will back back for sure!
