Stayed for a short break visiting the Christmas markets. Good location and accessible to the town. Hotel rooms a little dated but clean and warm with housekeeping daily. Food good choice and plenty. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good stay for a few nights.

Hotel looks nice from outside, plenty of parking. Good location only 10 mins walk downhill into Valkenberg centre. 2 lifts avaliable. We stayed on the 1st floor, heard music noise from the bar but this didn't go on too late fortunately. The room had a strange, musty smell that was not nice. Bed conformable. Cold on arrival but did warm up when we turned the radiator up. Bathroom could do with an update. Shower gel and hand-wash provided in a dispenser. Evening meal was a buffet and the food was all very good but nothing was labelled. Hard to tell which meat to select as no idea what it was. Dangerous for anyone with food allergies, nuts mixed with the cheeseboard, eggs and fish in salads, no labels on any food items. The most annoying thing was the ridiculous token system for drinks. To buy drinks you had to purchase 25 tokens for €20. Only reason that it is not 20 for 20 is to make it difficult to work out what you are paying for each drink, no reason not to sell 20 tokens for €20 and adjust tokens' cost for drinks. We were told off for taking our own bottle of water into restaurant. Overall decent for a short stay but not sure I'd return

Food ok to be fair. Evening meals buffet style unfortunately nothing marked up so not really sure what your eating. Tokens for drinks bit of a pain Would only provide water if you purchased 2 drinks... Room very very basic.(soulless) Beds very tired. Linen very poor quality. No tea making facilities. Cheapest thinnest smallest towels ever found in any hotel anywhere. Room was cold and damp on arrival. Did warm and dry after heating put on after day or so. Swimming pool looked nice however didn't use. For us the room should be everything, however was no where near. Would never recommend.

We were comfortable enough here, but it wasn't fantastic. Pros are a nice location - by the train station and a short walk to downtown Valkenburg, and far enough out that it's quiet. Breakfast was good. Nice view from the room as well. Cons were no air conditioning, small rooms, peculiar smell to the room. Recommend for a short stay in Valkenburg but not a long one; the room feels cramped and stuffy quickly. Not sure if we'd stay there again.

The hotel itself was great, very nice pool area. However staff were lacking. An 18 year old bartender was offering minors alcohol and the receptionist wasn’t helpful when a group of young children were trapped in the lift. Some staff members were nice, such as the gentleman who helped us when we became locked out.

ALLES ALLES ALLES IK WIL MIJN GELD TERUG!!! Gehorig NEE VERSCHRIKKELOJK, NEE ONTZETTEN VERSCHRIKKELIJK GEHORIG. , Oud hotel, schone schijn hotel Nog nooit zulke dure kamers gehad die zo slecht waren. Ontbijt dramatisch, slecht personeel, deden maar wat, dramatisch wat een slecht hotel. Weggegooid geld, hele jaar voor gespaard, dank je de koekoek. NOOIT EN NOOIT MEER DAAR NAAR TOE. Stayed here as part of a festive coach holiday and enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and we felt welcomed. Our room was comfortable and clean and even on Christmas Day the housekeeping staff were working and gave us a little Christmas gift too....a nice touch. There are no drink making facilities in the rooms but we took our own kettle etc. To buy drinks at the bar you need to buy tokens at reception (20 euro for 25 tokens) .....drinks then have a token value. Strange at first but you soon get used to it. The food at both breakfast and dinner is buffet style and there is plenty of it! You will certainly not go hungry! We enjoyed the food.....and it was fun trying new things! The hotel itself is about 10/15 minute easy walk into town so is well situated. All in all a very pleasant festive stay in The Netherlands.

The towels were waffle type didn't dry properly they were also smelly and not in a nice way. The food was variable at best. Nothing was labelled so difficult to say what you were eating. The staff were unfriendly and at times rude. Outside looked nice but that was were it finished.

Rooms are basic, no kettle in room, cushions not pillows beds quite uncomfortable food was horrible and cold, no explanation of what you’re eating, no tea or coffee unless it’s breakfast! You have to buy tokens at reception if you want drinks which are 25 for €20, and a small class of Pepsi is 3 tokens No where to go if you smoke, unless you stand outside the front door, can’t sit on the bar terrace unless you buy a drink from the bar! Most of the staff are quite rude, unhelpful and quite arrogant. When you asked for anything it was like we were an inconvenience All in all a terrible experience, I can honestly say if you want a experience in the city then stay somewhere else To the owners all I would like to say is if you do actually read this is maybe you want to be friendly to your customers and help not think about the lining of your pockets
