The food in the restaurant is fantastic. Worth the visit for that alone! Vaison is beautiful and the market is superb. A lovely stay. A warm welcome, friendly staff. Clean room, nice bedding.

Its quite a walk up but this charming hotel was worth it. The rooms are divided between two buildings, we were in the top floor of the second building and wow, was our view amazing out the window. The room was charming, with vintage furniture, but the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the table and chairs, and had several picnics in our room because the view was so amazing, better than any restaurant. The breakfast in their garden each morning was one of my favorite moments of our two week trip in France. The staff was friendly. Probably our biggest complaint was that our old door key was so hard to lock and get the skeleton key out. It took us a good five minutes extra every time we came or went to manage the door lock, but we managed it. The pool was lovely and well kept area. The bathroom was on the older side, but clean and working. And our room had amazing AC that was a blessing on several very hot days.

Located high above the main town, Hotel Le Beffroi is an unique and welcome experience. The main building was built in the 15th century. Although the furniture is a bit dated and the stairs are well worn, the host is wonderful and the meals are delicious. Note there is no elevator and the stairs can be challenging. Very clean and comfortable bed and linens. There is also a relaxing pool. Very much enjoyed my stay.

Stayed for one night and it is situated right up in the old town near the chateau not down in the actual main town area. It was good with creative original artwork of action superheros or similar themes in the corridors and our room. Some other unique artwork in the courtyard supporting local artists. Our double room was good, quiet, clean and on the second level (no lift). Restaurant wasn’t open so no opinion and there were good options nearby. Breakfast was good value.

We arrived with our bikes and didn’t want to disturb anyone so we wanted to place our bycicles after an old car but a man ( I believe the owner ) came immediately to ask us not to place our bicycles there ! What an unfriendly welcome !!!!!!!!! If bycickes are not friendly allowed but cars do !?? In wich century fo they live over there !????

The location of the hotel in the medieval section of Vaison-La-Romaine is wonderful as it is an area well worth exploring for its history and beauty. It is a short walk down narrow cobbled streets to the Roman Bridge and across the Ouvèze River into the newer part of Vaison-La-Romaine. The hotel was built in the 16th century and has a fair degree of charm. My room (named "Prunus") was spacious with large windows and the bed was comfortable enough, though the decor was quite dated and tired. However, I had a beautiful view of the nearby belfry tower (Beffroi translates as belfry), which is lit up at night, and the rest of the town on the opposite side of the river. There is no air conditioning, but fans are provided and even though we were there during a heat wave, it was fine with the windows open at night. There were no traffic sounds. There is no elevator but the pleasant fellow on reception carried my bags up the curved uneven stone steps and brought them down again at the end of my stay. The breakfast was generous, served in the quite lovely garden restaurant overlooking the town. You can sit in this garden with a cool glass of white wine in the late afternoon after exploring the town. Very pleasant. I would stay there again.

Just came back from a 3 night stay at this lovely hotel in the old medieval part of Vaison-la-Romaine. Getting directly to the hotel with a car was a little narrow and challenging, but thanks to the clear map and instructions sent before we travelled it was easy to find. All the staff, Nathalie at reception and the others were very nice and helpful. While the restaurant had not yet reopened, they were serving breakfast and we could use the lovely courtyard to relax a bit before dinner. Our room was larger than expected and very nice. The old and winding stairs may be a little challenging for some, but we didn't have a problem even though we're in our 60's. One of the best things was the views from our room. One direction faced the lower new town and our main view was of the old town. Sunrises and sunsets were spectacular.

If you’re looking for run down rooms, treacherous staircases (with tilted stairs), 90+ degree temperatures in the room without any A/C equipment, unattended front desk, rude service - this is the place for you. Otherwise avoid at all costs! We stayed there one night and actually put an alarm clock to leave as early as we could. It is that bad.
