Bastide la Combe

Tucked in the outskirts of the Roman town, Vaison la Romaine, this B&B is one of the best ever! The rooms are luxuriously sized and comfortably appointed, there are outdoor gardens and forest walks, a swimming pool, and expansive views of grapes from all the windows, reminding guests they are in the heart of the Cote du Rhone region. Inside the country home, guests have access to multiple rooms and decks, there are books and objets d' art, collected and curated by the owner--visual delights everywhere! Breakfast includes fresh croissants and other breads, juice, yoghurt, and fresh fruits right from the property or nearby. A family dog and cat complete the welcoming cast--I just cannot say enough for this outstanding property. The only limitation is that a car is essential to get there and to town.

Dieses Guesthouse ist sehr individuell, um nicht zu sagen einzigartig. Madame Marie und Monsieur Jules, unsere beiden Gastgeber, waren wirklich reizend und sehr hilfsbereit. Sie haben noch spät am Abend einen Platz im Restaurant für uns ergattert und uns am Morgen in ihrem wunderschönen und liebevoll dekorierten Speisezimmer mit einem leckeren Frühstück verwöhnt. Was wir nur bedauert haben, weil wir dafür das hübsche Zimmer mit witzigem Bad und versteckter, schattiger Terrasse und den weitläufigen, verwunschenen Garten verlassen mussten. Das ganze Haus ist eine einzige Entdeckungsreise, hier interessante Bücher (nicht nur auf französisch...), dort Dekoratives oder Kunstobjekte und dazwischen ein ruhiger, freundlicher Redtriever. Und erst die Aussicht! Wir kommen sicher wieder, dann aber für länger!
