Alcove Resort Vagator

Must visit place… nice ambience , cooperative staff, good food, child friendly, hygienic and they will give what ever you need for your kids. The breakfast starts at 8.30am which is again a good time when we are in Goa.. you can go down from the resort only to vagator beach which is the plus point of this resort. Beautiful scenic view during breakfast as well

We had a very pleasant stay, the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful, the room just as expected. They did everything to make use welcome and comfortable and the price to value ratio is excellent. Their food is delicious too! It IS however true what some other reviewers are saying, that you should only book if you're aware of the two clubs on the two edges of the resort. One is on the southern side that starts from around 5 and they abide by the rules and their music gets much quieter at 10pm. The one on the north side however really starts business at that hour and goes on until about 9am, so you can be 100% sure to be hearing the beat at a constant 131bpm at extremely loud levels. It is truly bestial and unbearable and earplugs won't help you the slightest bit. It does help if you spend a good amount of time outside and are tired enough by the evening to sleep. We were very tempted to ask for another room after the first night but ultimately our chalet was just too well positioned for the sea-view and nearby wildlife. Alcove Resorts should warn customers about this inconvenience before one makes a booking, not afterwards. Of course they have rooms that mitigate the Noise (name of the northern nightclub) factor somewhat, but those might be some of the higher priced rooms. So, my review reflects what is surely within their control, I am unsure whether they have any association with the aforementioned clubs, therefore it would be unfair to give a bad review when everything else was perfect.

We booked for 3 nights in December during festival season in Goa, and had to leave after the first night due to the extremely loud noise from the 24-hour dance club next to our room. While the hotel did warn us (after payment, not before payment), that there “may be noise from clubs into the wee hours of the morning” we didn’t anticipate this level of noise. See the video for yourself and know that the music was loud enough for my phone to be able to identify the songs playing using Shazam. We used earplugs and white noise machines and nothing could cover it up since our balcony was literally above the nightclub, which didn’t have closing hours. We did request a higher level room as per their recommendation to have a quieter stay, but our friends that stayed lower actually had less noise in their rooms. Other cons is that the AC was not as powerful as the two other stays we had in Goa. It also took 5 minutes for the AC to kick in after inserting the room key. These five minutes can feel long after a hot humid day outside. The pros of this stay is that it is a beautiful location, wonderful sunsets, and adjacent to all party things if that is what you are into. Chai during breakfast was the best chai we had in Goa. Bed was comfortable to lay in. They had friendly staff, although I would have appreciated a partial refund for checking out early due to the noise. I would recommend for them to check into room 167 and see for themselves what it is like.

One of the best Hotel/Resort with direct Beach access. Some rooms have very clean beautiful view of ocean. lovely hospitality by the staff. Atlast will say , its a beautiful property to stay with all happening(party places) things around.

Recently, I had the opportunity to stay at Alcove. While I was sceptical on the outcome of our decision (especially since Monsoons arrived in full swing and this is a beach front property), I still thought of giving a try.  I am glad that the Alcove team did not disappoint me. Right from pre-booking up until check-out, the team took care of everything without any scope for a complaint. I especially appreciate Mr. Luellyn, the GM of the resort. He patiently responded to all my doubts and went out of the way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. I am astonished at how beautifully he is managing the resort with his capable team even in the toughest conditions with heavy rains around. I could observe that all the guests were having a good time, even the monsoon onslaught, thanks to the consistent care and maintenance of the resort assets by Mr. Luellyn and his team. In the Food section, I wish to especially thank Mr. Dipankar and his colleagues for always serving us great quality food with love, care, and patience. Cocktail lovers – please try B52 at Alcove. You will love it! I also understood that a lot of the staff at Alcove have been working with them for quite a long time. This also speaks volumes about Alcove as a good employer apart from being a great resort! Again mentioning at the cost of repetition – every facility at the resort – be it housekeeping, restaurant, pick-up/drop, site seeing, front desk – was top notch despite adverse weather conditions. The most economical period is from June to September due to the off-season and heavy monsoons. The in-house restaurant serves delectable Goan cuisine ***** with a wide range of dishes to satisfy every palate. Although slightly higher in price, the food is well worth it, especially when enjoyed with the spectacular view and a refreshing drink while watching the gorgeous sunset. The friendly and professional staff contribute to the resort's popularity, consistently attracting guests throughout the year. For airport transportation, an AC cab ranges from 1,700 to 2,000 INR one way, and the average cost for a meal for two at the in-house restaurant is around 1,500-1,800 INR. Alcove remains our top choice in Goa, thanks to its special charm and exceptional experiences it offers.
