The place is being run by such a minimal number of staff, you have a nightmare trying to phone this hotel. The onsite restaurant is only open for breakfast and evening meals and closed during the day. Surprising as it is on a business estate. The restaurant felt dirty with sticky tables and sticky floors! Our booked accessible room had 2 extractor fans going when we entered. The receptionist then came and took them away, that's when we realised that some inconsiderate person before us had been smoking in the room. By that time we were in our night clothes and were in bed, so felt that we couldn't go and ask for a room change, so thought that it may be ok ... Well it wasn't!! We could smell the cigarette smoke in our sleep, which was really uncomfortable. The next morning we found that our clothes, bedding and coats all smelt terrible. The smell obviously had got into the soft furnishings, so the curtains, and armchair stank! Only a steam clean of the curtains, carpets and soft furnishing can eradicate the smell. We didn't have breakfast as the state of the restaurant put us off! We used to stay in Premier Inn quite a lot for business and leisure. However, have noticed in the last few years that no maintenance is being carried out and the interiors are just being left to fall apart. Sorry, another loyal customer lost!
