We arrived from the uk at around 13.00hrs. Although check-in isn’t officially until 15.00hrs, the lovely lady on reception allowed us to check in early and didn’t even mention that we were early. We were in room 807 which was on the second floor over looking the courtyard. The room was nice there were petals and swans made from towels on the bed. The bathroom was very opulent with a roll top bath and a shower. The toilet room was separate. The bed was comfortable and afforded a good night sleep. The aircon was very good and the TV was large. There were bathrobes and slippers in the room - great for using in the spa (which we had paid for prior to arrival for all of our days). There is a fridge in the room stocked with drinks and snacks - payable locally. There was a coffee pod machine which made great coffee in our room. The room does have sloping walls near to the windows on one side of the bed - so watch out for your head as we had two bad accidents bashing our heads on the wall in the night when it was dark and had massive bumps to our heads! You choose what time you have breakfast each morning when you check in. The breakfast had everything that you could ask for, cakes, pancakes, waffles, different breads, slice bread for the toaster, James and preserves, honey, Nutella, dried fruits, gluten free options, fresh fruit salad, individual fresh fruits such as pineapple, blackberries, raspberries, redcurrants , bananas, apples, apricots, peaches etc etc. there were meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, Philadelphia, butter, margarine. Sausages, bacon, eggs, fresh juices such as cranberry, orange smooth, orange pulp, apple, mixed fruit and more, cereals, milk, milk shakes, a Starbucks hot drink machine and Starbucks syrups etc etc so much to choose from! There is also a restaurant and a library where you can obtain snacks - we didn’t use these facilities so cannot comment. There is an outside swimming pool with lots of sun loungers around it. There was also a marquee where it looked like they hosted weddings - it looked like a lovely location to hold a wedding. The car park was massive and spacious, so no fear around someone hitting your car with a door etc. lastly, let’s not forget about the spa….lovely. When you go in, you are greeted by the receptionists, who gives you information about the spa- they do not try and sell you additional treatments- this is upto you to ask about them. They will give you a towel to use whilst you are in the spa. There are jars on the counter with little affirmations inside (one jar is in French and the other in English). A very cute touch and attention to detail. There are lockers for you to use whilst you are there. The red cave experience is wonderful and was the first thing that I ever saw about this hotel - leading me to book! There are whirlpool areas within the cave area which are amazing. There is a huge jacuzzi in the next room which is lovely and warm and relaxing. There are breakout areas with loungers aroun
