Excellent hotel , lovely setting , lovely rooms , but the restaurant experience lets it down . On arrival , Pedro showed us to our room for our two night stay , which was very comfortable and clean . We then went to the restaurant for our first evening meal . I chose rack of lamb , which I thought would be a safe bet . However, it was so tough , as to make it inedible. I told Pedro , without trying to eat any further, and his reaction was that , he would tell the chef . Big deal , what difference is that going to make ? From that point on , our card was marked , unfairly I thought . On the last evening, I thought I would take no chances , and order a fillet steak . What a mistake, it was worse than the lamb , tough as old boots , again I informed the waitress who told me she would let their butcher know ! We are talking about high end dining here , expensive. I was offered a couple of glasses of wine for two spoiled dinners . My wife had fish both nights , which was fine . Also there was a lovely lady who cleaned the rooms , but I’m afraid the dining experience lets the stay down .
