Kingfisher

I travel a lot (I've been to 100 plus countries and am fairly flexible) and I found this hotel disappointing compared to my expectations. The staff was friendly and it's right on the beach. Our room was nice and large and had a great shower and looked out to the beach however the main curtain over the front window didn't work and was down the entire we were there. They attempted to fix it and briefly jimmied it briefly but never came back to fix it so we never really enjoyed the view from the room. Just in front of the bathroom sink and counter is a 1 inch raised step that's tiled exactly the same as the rest of the bathroom and I stubbed my toe 10+ times it, as did my nephew. The hotel has a number of great beach chairs, however passersby who aren't staying at the hotel are free to use them so they can quickly start filling up in the morning. It would be nice if they would reserve the best beach chairs for hotel guests but you need to get up early and reserve them with your towel. There's also a bar/restaurant next door that plays LOUD music with LOUD fireworks every hour until at least midnight. I really like the staff at the hotel and the location, but I won't stay here again.

Overpriced. Very little vegetarian options. Very Noisy!!!We arrived on Saturday and in the hotel they played electronic music till 6AM. Room was big and clean but there was no proper door between bathroom and the bedroom so it was lime and open space. Overall never coming back

We had lunch and dinner here and that as excellent!!! At sea and the owner and staff was very, very kind! You have to come here! We had a perfect place naar the sea also the chairs were good, foodprocessor was excellent

Very nice and clean rooms and very friendly staff. Located on the beachfront on Unawatuna beach. The food was excellent. Only small issue was one night the next door bar/restaurant had a party and played loud music very late. But that's not the hotels fault.

Urlaub in toller Lage das Hotelpersonal war absolut demontiert, wenn man etwas wollte z.b. Das das Zimmer gereinigt wird, musste man suchen, bis man jemanden fand, der es erledigte, Frühstückservice schlecht, Strandservice schlecht (es wird den ganzen Tag nichts abserviert, wir trugen teilweise die Getränke zur Bar zurück) Der einzige nette Mann war der Nachtportier!!!! echt schade, dass man so eine coole Location durch Personal vermiesen kann.

Direkt am Strand, aufmerksames Personal, allen voran Ranjih, der versucht hat, alles möglich zu machen, danke!!! Er kümmert sich um Liegen sm Strand, TukTuks und vieles mehr. Das Restaurant ist gut, aber nichts für Vegetarier, denn es gibt viel leckeren Fisch.
