Gold Strike Casino Resort

The hotel was enjoyable and the slot play but the card tables are only for the house they do not shuffle or cut cards before they put them in the shuffling machine so I like to play cards so I went to the casino next door in the parking lot and played cards because they shuffle and cut the cards as they should and fives better odds for the player so I would suggest to only play slots no table games but the hotel it's self was very good and the restaurants

Go ANYWHERE but here!! Not worth the money!! Ive never checked into a hotel/resort and not been acknowledged by staff. It almost amazed me. The employee simply said ," ID."when I approached the check in desk. Upon giving her my ID she did some clicking and looked back up and said ," swipe your credit card there." Indicating the pad to the left. I swiped and a minute of clicking later she handed me a tiny card sleeve with our room cards. No room number or direcetuins were given. She then ,literally , called over my shoulder to another employee and started a conversation with them. Half the elevators were out of service. The room was clean , pillows soft and bed was firm , yet not uncomfortable. Cleaning services / towels and etc. arent provided unless requested. Not a huge issue since we were only staying 2 nights. I have no idea why they charge a resort fee when all the amenities listed are unavailable. The jacuzzi was out of order and drained . The pool had a slight haze to the water , so much so ,that we decided not to get in. No pool so we decided to go see the spa. They were closed hours earlier then the time stated on the signage . We than went back to the room to relax & just order some food up to the room.. guess what??? Room service was also not availible!! In the words of the woman on the phone ," If you want something to eat you're going to have to come down and get it. Customer service was dismal at best and we were told by numerous staff members that ,"tips are cash only!"

Got charged extra at checkout (was able to get refunded), elevators stopped working, and srsff was cool other than the lady who checked me in and charged me $80 instead of the regular $50 hold on the card.

I reserved a smoking room and got non smoking. I was upcharged 100 bucks on the room after paying *******

Cautiously Optimistic This was our first stay since the ownership change and it was as good as it ever was. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the coffee shop only had one person working on a Saturday morning so it was very slow. I’d give it a 7/10 this trip.

The hotel was very nice, ample, parking very friendly staff. My wife and I felt very safe. The food choices and quality need some work. The casino is smoky which made it a difficult to breath at times.
