Still can’t get over my time at Aloita Resort—a true slice of paradise in the Mentawais. Woke up each day just steps from the ocean, surrounded by lush jungle, crystal-clear water, and the warmest smiles from the Aloita crew. Surfed some of the best waves of my life (with zero crowds!), then came back to fresh coconuts, epic meals, and that peaceful island rhythm you wish you could bottle up. From the boat rides to hidden surf spots, to sunset dinners and lazy hammock afternoons—every moment felt like a reset. Grateful for the surf, the nature, the food, the people, and that feeling of being completely present. Thank you Aloita, for the memories. I’ll be back.

Thank you so much Jess and the team at Aloita. We have had a blast! This is the first time we have come to the Mentawai’s as a family (husband been on a few boat trips before) and it was the best 10 days. Perfect wave out front for myself and 2 daughters (aged 11 and 15) learning to surf and 2 boat trips a day taking my husband and son (aged 16) to a range of different surf spots. The resort is heaven, the food exceptional and all the staff couldn’t be friendlier. Shout out to Fin our lovely surf instructor who gave myself and daughters so much confidence to surf the local wave, Jess and Carolina who looked after us all so well and Dave, Zac and Luca, the resorts surf guides who were awesome! We really hope to come back next year!

Best holiday we’ve had in a long time. The team were absolutely amazing and made us feel like family, the food was out of this world and the service was something else. Can’t recommend highly enough - best location in the Mentawais and easily the best accommodation. Endless activities for everyone in the family to keep you busy, or also opportunities to relax and unwind. 10/10 will be back.

My mother and I spent 5 days in Aloita. It was her first 1st time in Asia and after some exploring around Java, I wanted to take her to a remote tropical island to have her experience the incredible beauty of Indonesian sea. I’m not usually someone who travels choosing only boutique/luxury hotels but this time I wanted to cuddle us and turns out I couldn’t choose any better than Aloita. The place itself is stunning, an hidden gem far from the crowds with beautiful turquoise water, the property is fancy yet cozy and the attention to details is the highest. The rooms have all the comfort you need, the food is amazing and different everyday, the bar is fun and offers pool, ping pong and table games. The staff was probably the best part: they call you by your name and make you feel at home from the first moment. Jess welcomed us with open arms, the other guys were always friendly and up for a nice chit chat. Honestly, I’m not sure if it was all dream or if that really happened. Whatever that was, I’ll cherish. Terima kasih, Aloita.

We had a wonderful stay at Aloita. My family and I really enjoyed the resort and how friendly and helpful everyone there was. The food was pretty amazing, we've done a few surf trips in the past and having amazing food every morning and every time you come back from a session actually makes the trip so much better. The resort has a lot of fun things to do besides surfing, we played a lot of ping pong and pool, also did a SUP tour through the mangroves which was super beautiful. Our house was great for our family, ac in the rooms worked really well and there were lots of places around the house to hang out and relax. The location of the resort is cool because of the views you get from every spot.

Aloita resort is the ,,Escape place,, I,m sure that everyone can find here the peace, inner connection and the things he never expect to find here. The food, accomodations, nature and amazing staff and owners gave me the holidays of my life.
