The property is in an excellent location, literally in the old town. The facilities are superb, with absolute attention to detail in every respect. The owners always had a smile, were super friendly and extremely helpful, with excursions and recommendations. The was a wide variety of delicious breakfast items, with eggs cooked on request. The room was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for your holiday and was of the highest quality. Highly recommended!

An excellent location in the heart of the town, just one minute from the iconic sunsets at Piazza Cannone, with the incredibly kind and caring Sharon and Biagio. I appreciated the variety of choices at breakfast and the comfortable room, which had everything one might need during their stay—from the tiniest details to impeccable cleanliness. Absolutely perfect stay at Portecole in Tropea. The location is ideal—steps from the old town and beaches but peaceful and quiet. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast each morning was a highlight—fresh, local, and made with care. Sharon and Biagio are outstanding hosts—warm, thoughtful, and full of great local tips. I felt truly welcomed. Can’t recommend highly enough.

By far, the best place we stayed on our 3-week trip from Tuscany to Sicily was Portercole in Tropea. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and close to stores, restaurants, and access to the beach. However, the most outstanding features are Biagio and Sharon. They were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay special. Included was daily breakfast at Da Vinci, owned by Biagio and Sharon, which was delicious and filling. We found Tropea beautiful and easy to navigate. It was not overly crowded, and we were able to eat at restaurants without reservations. Watching the sunset was a daily pleasure. If we had known how beautiful the area was, we would have stayed much longer. We will return……

The owners Sharon & Biagio went above and beyond to make our stay special. The accommodation was spotless, in a great location and had all you could wish for (& more!), with extra details like a beach bag with towels and flipflops.very much appreciated. The breakfast in their gelataria opposite was lovely & all the staff were really friendly. Highly recommended- we would return in a heartbeat!

This is our 3rd visit to Tropea and the Portercole is one of favorite B&Bs. The rooms are nicely decorated, modern, and clean. The proprietors, Sharon and Biagio, are very helpful and friendly and help with reservations and other arrangements. Location is perfect and all sites are available within walking distance. Parking is available, reserve ahead of time. Breakfast is included and currently at La Dolce Vita (cafe) across the street, is delicious and has a lot of variety (including eggs). Great stay and great value!

I had originally rejected staying here because of its proximity to the pedestrianised town centre - fearing street noise. We pitched up here anyway after rejecting our booking at a place on the edge of the town with sea views. We were given the attic room, which although not large and had no view it was very comfortable and had a large bathroom. The thick walls of the property and the efficient double glazing meant that the room was silent and we slept very well. Breakfast is at a cafe opposite and was NOT the usual Italian affair of coffee and a croissant! We had a free choice of whatever and how much we wanted from the menu - including eggs. The owners were very helpful and friendly, I strongly recommend staying her. It was great to be at the heart of this enchanting town.

Zimmer 5,0 Service 5,0 Lage 5,0 Auf jeden Fall sehr gerne wieder! Die beiden Inhaber unfassbar(!) freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das B&B ist super sauber. Kunde ist hier definitiv König. Highlights des Hotels: Romantisch · Ruhig · Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhält. Zimmer: Super sauber! Geräumig. Ausreichend Platz für Zwei. Große (Regen-)Dusche Fußläufigkeit: Strand ist 10min(+-) Gehminuten entfernt. Zahlreiche Restaurants und Bars sowie kleine Süße Läden fußläufig erreichbar, da das B&B mitten in Tropea liegt. Speisen und Getränke: Frühstück ist reichhaltig! Frisches Obst, Quark, Joghurt (Natur u. Frucht), versch. Müsli, Brot, Croissantes, frisch gepresster O-Saft, Kaffeespezialitäten Nennenswertes: Die Inhaber sind super freundlich und versuchen jeden deiner Wünsche direkt umzusetzen. Das B&B verfügt über eine handvoll Zimmer, die super sauber sind! Bedingt dadurch, dass das B&B wirklich mitten in Tropea liegt, ist alles schnell u. fußläufig erreichbar. Vielen Dank für diese unvergessliche Zeit!
