Hôtel d'Orsay

El personal muy amable y atento. La habitación doble es sencilla pero con todo lo necesario. Lo que menos nos gustó fue la ducha ya que no tenía mampara o cortina y eso la hace bastante incómoda porque mojas todo. La ubicación nos pareció muy buena, justo delante de la estación y cerca de puntos de interés. Tienen sitio para guardar las bicicletas.

Warm, welcoming & helpful at reception despite being 15 minutes before standard booking-in time. I requested a garden room (as opposed to street facing), which wasn't quite ready but they suggested I could leave my luggage whilst they hoovered & changed a light fitting. The room was small, but adequate for my 2 night stay, the double bed firm but comfortable. The 'buts': in this tech-heavy world more than 2 plug sockets (one of which has a lamp in) on the opposite side of the room to the bed would have been useful, as would a voile/blind at the window - either curtains opened (to full view) or closed whilst changing is not ideal. The bathroom :( I pointed out the problem above the bath to the workman changing the light fitting - he said they were aware of it - there had been a leak in the roof due to rain. That the stained towel etc were still there some 5 hours later (I'm not convinced my room had been hoovered either) is not really acceptable... General impression: the rooms do not live up to the standard of the Reception, the decor is tatty & dated. The d'Orsay needs to up its game & refurbish the rooms - 505 should not be re-used until the problem above & in the bathroom has been rectified at the very least.

Very close to the train station, but outside of the sketchy neighborhood around Rue de Bayard. Friendly staff, English is no problem. A good on-site breakfast, crafted to order. Room is not huge, but has everything you need.
