GHT Aparthotel Tossa Park

Pleasantly surprised having read the negative reviews prior to our trip. We are a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 teenage children). We booked two apartments with balcony, which overlooked the pool and had beautiful views of the hills beyond. Rooms were basic (as expected), clean and have most things needed for a self catering stay away (although it was always our intention to eat out). I had read in the reviews prior to our trip that kettles were not provided and so I travelled prepared with my own pack flat travel kettle (available on Amazon). The pool area is lovely, with plenty of sunbed and the pool is maintained daily. The kitchen/dining area at the hotel is currently in a state of disuse and no food is available (again this didn’t bother us as always intended to buy in snacks for daytime and eat out of an evening). There is a small snack-bar where drinks, ice-creams and crisps can be purchased at various times throughout the day. Tossa de Mar is such a lovely place with plenty to see. I would recommend this hotel and Tossa de Mar for a quiet relaxing holiday.

Booked a wowcher mystery holiday and was given this hotel. Was told tossa de mar was a party town, absolutely not. Hotel was very very basic, only saw 2 members of staff with very little English. Pool area dirty, snack bar closed until July so no where to get food or drinks, everything shut at 10pm. Map very out dated so nothing open or even there. Very little facilities. Was told there was a storage room to leave our bags upon checking out, was then given a key to some sort of staff room full of tools and dustsheets. Hotel in a good area but nothing really about. Asked several people for certain bars spotted on map to be told they’re closed down, there was a market on Thursday morning which was good. Ended up getting a taxi into Llorrett de mar as there was much much more to do/things open. Sister hotel is available for entertainment/breakfast however wasn’t actually told about this by staff.

Spacious and easy to use apartment. Simple and calm decor and a lovely view from the balcony. It's within walking distance from the beach and there are some good supermarkets all on the walking route so I could pick up what I needed to cook my food with.

Arrived after being dumped at the Bus Station 20 mins away ( no directions, no info at all, not a hotel transfer, just a bus to the local station...LH are getting an email about that debacle ) Managed to find the hotel, 20 minute walk from the Bus Station. On arrival we had to pay a 50 Euro deposit ( not mentioned when booking, another email to LH about that! ) and a 10 Euro tourist tax, which we expected. Room 304, 3rd floor with pool view. On entering it was a nice clean and spacious studio with a small kitchenette and separate bathroom, sans bidet! There was a pull out double bed and opposite was another pull down bed too. Mattresses were fine, good nights sleep the entire week we were there, no complaints about them at all. Bathroom was clean, tidy and well laid out, shower head holder was broken but no matter, plentiful hot water at all times. Towels changed on day 4, housekeeping day 7 ( people complained about bedding not being changed at all for a week ( how many times you change yours at home, stop moaning!) Kitchenette was basic but serviceable, fridge with freezer compartment, all you need really. No kettle or toaster in room, ask at reception and were given both, just ask and you will get them! Outside pool clean and tidy, looked after daily by staff. TV in room has zero English channels so dont waste your time trying to find them. Storage at a premium, but enuf for a week, safe chargeable and expensive! Aircon is either on or off, no adjustment, switches near the door so you have to decide what you want or your getting up in the night to switch it on or off, remotes available for a fee from reception. Worried about your return transfer? Reception will have details printed out the day before you leave however i GUARANTEE its leaving from the Bus Station where you get dumped at the start of your holiday so be prepared! All in all this is a great value hotel, basic but everything you need. Nice staff, decent facilities and far enuf away form the center to ensure a good nights sleep Only complaint is the guests there just do not know how to close doors quietly, kids running about the corridors being noisy and the walls are a bit hin so can hear everything form your neighbours!

My 2 children and I spent 6 nights at GHT Tossa Park the last week of July. I booked this place based on some decent reviews on here saying it was a good price, clean, cheerful, and close to everything, unfortunately not a true representation. Its cheap yes, but not clean and cheerful. After our first night we asked to change rooms as it our room was directly located off of the receptions so we heard everyone arrive in at night and early morning. The staff were very nice in relocating us to a better location. The new location was better but unfortunately the fridge was partially broken and the bathroom was extremely moldy with a strong musty smell. Its states you get a clean change of towels on day 4, but it's actually day 5 (4th night, 5th day) so we got clean towels the day before we left whereas it would have been lovely to have them halfway through the trip. Unfortunately our room was sandwiched in between two groups of friends (young Spanish girls) for 3 nights of our stay each of those nights when they arrived home at 12-1am they partied in the rooms which was really loud. My kids were woken those 3 nights. Our power tripped several times, when I told reception they told me to open the power box and flip the tripped switch myself (I was surprised someone didn't check this out) . On the plus side we did like the location as It was 10 minute walk from the busy area with lovely restaurants, shops and beaches, I felt very safe going for walks in the morning. The pool was nice, we mainly spent the morning there and headed to the beach in the afternoon, snack bar at the pool was poor, no restaurant of hot food (although there is a grocery store next door).

We stayed here for a week 2 adults 2 kids, the apartment was very basic,living space had a table and chairs, sofa, pull down bed, tv, fridge (frezzer part needed defrosting so couldnt store anything in and the door was missing), 2 ring hob, sink and microwave (no kettle,toaster or oven)The bedroom had 1 single bed and 1 very small double bed (we pushed all together) 1 wardrobe (no long hanging space and no iron) Small bathroom with bath( no plug not allowed to have baths) and shower in the bath that was very strong it soaked the place! But a big plus always loads of hot water! The hotel staff were very nice and pleasant, the pool area was nice and big lots of beds but unfortunately not enough umbrellas so you were left with only a few places to sit or had to be down at 10am when the pool opened to avail of an umbrella, there is a little play area for the kids swing, slide and a few different activities set up around the area! The indoor pool is very dark and can not be seen from the outdoor pool! The little bar/ice cream shop was good for cool drinks and priced well! The biggest plus for this hotel is its location there is a supermarket just around the corner, and the town/beach is a lovely, flat, slow 5-minute walk! The town is beautiful with a wonderful family atmosphere! If you can provide meals from a 2 ring hob and microwave then it's a great place to stay but if not you will need to budget for dinner out!
