Was looking forward to our booking here for a few nights, hotel was great with communication prior to arrival - letting us know someone would meet us at the dock on either side of the boat ride. Boat ride went smoothly and staff was there. But we found out on the venture out that the hotel was having water issues and our room would not be available. They kindly ensured we had a spot at another location in town. We went with it - the replacement location was fine, clean, basic - but not with a few of the amenities we had been hoping for (pool / deck etc) We had been in touch with hotel over the stay - again great communication and requested a refund for the difference between what we paid and the rates on the replacement spot - was told that wasn't an issue. Upon arriving home and following up on the request we were offered 50 USD. I explained my disappointment as the difference between the 2 rooms was closer to $300 +. From that point the hotel has gone radio silence, I am working with the company we booked through - but hotel is also not responding to them. Disappointing interaction overall, we had a great trip - but we should not be paying the premium rate when the facilities were unavailable.
