Nordic Inn Thorshavn

The photo used by the owner is not the accomodation itself. I think it's deceiving because its a completely different building on the opposite side of the road which has nothing to do with this accomodation. This accomodation is a corner house and the room I was allocated was downstairs on the bottom floor. There was no formal check in process to be given a key. But, rather was a self service check in. My booking was room only for 2 nights. The room was ok but quite small with a TV which didn't work. The bathroom was a shared option just outside the room itself. The location is about a 15 minute stroll to the National Football Stadium and 25 minutes stroll from the City Centre and harbour. On my last night, I received a message to pay my bill. I was met by the owner and I was happy to settle my bill for a room only booking. I asked the Owner for a Debit Card receipt. He said he couldn’t give me one but said he'd email me a copy instead. When I returned home to the UK no email was waiting. So, I had to contact the accomodation via *********** to get them to contact the Owner. A few days later I did get an invoice for my stay but no Debit card receipt was with it. I wrote to the Owner again explaining what I wanted but, I never heard from the Owner again which was extremely disappointing. The Faroe Islands is expensive. This was reflected in the price I paid to stay here. Its not an hotel by any means but rather more like an AirB&B instead. Would I recommend staying here, I doubt it.
