We booked a last minute holiday for ourselves and our son who has autism and other needs that require consideration. In the booking of our package we had tried for special assistance but that was only interested in medical disabilities. We were placed on Floor 5 and really had no issue with the room - wonderful sea view, comfortable, and clean. However, in the morning we realised that the lifts were busy and do not hold many guests. Our lift stopped altogether as someone jumped in with us and the lift failed to move. We got out and decided to walk downstairs. It's quite a way to Floor 0 as there are two unused floors between 0 and 1. Staircases are one of son's difficulties. We asked if it would be possible to have a room on a different floor. We realised that we would still have to use stairs if the lifts were busy but this would be more manageable. There was no problem changing and no extra payment required. All we had to do was wait a few hours until the room was cleaned and then we moved in. We still had an amazing sea view and in addition a mountain view. The hotel is located on the quieter end of Torremolinos. That's great for us as we like quiet areas - hence why this exceeded expectations as we had expected a busy and potentially noisy seafront. However, when you just want a break and the value of the package is too good to pass up, then trying somewhere new is worth the gamble. This meant that we did a lot of walking - each day walking further as we got used to our environment. We were surprised to find that the train station was relatively close by and easy to find (once you know it's there as we had a walked passed it more than once). So, we took a trip out to Malaga - so easy to do. All of the staff were extremely polite, helpful and friendly whether they were reception, bar, restaurant, or maid service. My husband had his birthday whilst we were away. I didn't mention this to anyone but the maid, after seeing his birthday cards in the room, arranged for a small bottle of Cava, three glasses, some biscuits, and a card in our room. Totally unexpected and very much appreciated. We chose all inclusive and could not complain about the food. To be honest if you have an issue with it (other reviews would suggest some people have) then the problem is yours. There was always plenty of choice and there is no reason to go hungry. The pool and poolside were pleasant and always kept clean. The entertainment staff were always around and at times it felt like a cross between Butlins and Eurovision (depending on the music being played). That's not a criticism as it's not for everyone but plenty of people enjoyed it and you either choose to take part or not. The photography team were always around too. Essentially looking to provide guests with a photoshoot and ultimately buy a photo or two. Again, not for everyone but polite refusals were accepted without pressure to change your mind. The pool bar was popular. We sat there in the afternoons
