They Cancelled our booking last minute with no explanation. Spoiled Christmas break, ended up staying at home… We had this booked for at least 10 months in advance.. So, if you want a Christmas break here check in advance that the booking is secure to save disappointment..& keep checking..

Would definitely return if staying in Torquay, close to seafront. The Montana is welcoming and very clean, our room was spacious, modern, spotless and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we both slept well. The breakfast was well organised and we could help ourselves to hot coffee, cereals, toast and fruit juices as well as our pre-order of a hot breakfast. The only recommendation I would give is to offer fresh fruit and yoghourt, which is a personal choice. William was a perfect host.

Excellent stay, from the first point of contact, during & check out. Clean & tidy, from the gate, entrance, dining room, stairs & of course the room/ensuite. The decor through out was smart & easy on the eye, all facilities just as expected. A minor surprise re- "cooked breakfast timing" was dealt with very satisfactorily. Superb Host(s) easily accessible, but hardly seen. Amazing.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Our room was very comfortable ,Spotlessly clean, extremely well presented, good breakfast, well run and convenient for beach, town and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will book again!!

Very nice b&b. Spacious room with plenty of storage but needed more coat hangers. Bathroom nice but a little small. Very good breakfast and well organised. Ideal location for our needs on this trip. Good modern check in procedure. Nice owners.

What an absolute delight! Beautifully clean and well kept, comfortable, cosy, delicious breakfast, easy contactless checking in and out. Amazing value for money. Highly recommend and will definitely come again! Thank you so so much! Huge credit to Torquay!!!

Excellent stay at the Montana, Torquay. The room was very clean and tidy with everything required for a comfortable stay. The full English breakfast was freshly cooked and very enjoyable. William ( the proprietor) was extremely pleasant and very attentive to his guests, nothing was too much trouble for him if we required anything extra in relation to our stay. The location is ideal within a 5-10 minute walk of the sea front and not too far from the theatre and various bars and shops. I would recommend The Montana to anyone considering a break in Torquay.

Very comfortable hotel, very clean and the manager william was very friendly and breakfast was excellent, would definately stay again. We were going to a Christmas dinner dance and it was within walking distance. The check in was very seamless and the owners live on site if they are needed

Lovely well presented family run hotel. The room was spotless and the breakfast was fantastic. All relevant information, including what to do in the local area was provided on a tablet. Great area to explore Torquay. Short walk to Abbey Sands beach. We found a great authentic Thai restaurant called Jun Jaow Thai. You won’t be disappointed.

What a great B&B, one of the best we've visited. The self check-in was great as we weren't tied to a time to arrive. The room was very nicely decorated and spotless. The bathroom was modern and also spotless. There was plenty to eat at Breakfast, a nice selection of cereals, cooked breakfast and toast. It was only a short walk to the sea front and there were plenty of buses that went to other resorts. I would recommend this friendly B&B to anyone wishing to stay in Torquay.

Excellent stay as always. Very clean, nice breakfast, easy to book amd stay. Close to where we needed to be, nice and quiet (even tjough room was facing main road). We will certainly be lookong to stay here for our annual trip to Torbay. Thank you for having us.

Lovely people, ideal location, food excellent, clean and tidy room, close to station and beach, will go there again, owners so helpful, nothing to much trouble. All things to do in Torquay close and walkable.

We was so happy when we arrived, the hotel was clean the room was tidy, no marks on the sheets or other furniture. The communication from the owners was excellent and they do a brilliant full English in the morning. The hotel is located in a great position to the beach only a 5 minute walk. We will be back.

Stayed here with my partner for a small mid week break, the host was very friendly & accommodating, the hotel was very clean, beds are super comfy, and the breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. There is also a honesty bar, we did not use this but it’s a great idea. Location is great, only a short walk down to the harbour, there is also a beefeater, bristot Pierre, las iguanas, Costa & a cafe at the bottom of the hill!
