We have also experienced food/water poisoning over the last two days at this hotel. We did not drink water from the tap, but we are pretty sure they prepare food and wash dishes with the same tap water! More and more reviews have been posted in the last few days for this hotel, and not for the neighboring hotels (I have checked). This clearly indicates a problem specific to this hotel and not a virus in the area, as the hotel claims. There is sewage water in front of the hotel most of the time, accompanied by a horrible smell, which may be contaminating the tap water. Additionally, there is mold in the room and bathroom (photos attached). They advertise this as a 4-star hotel, which is a scam in my opinion. They have two separate buildings—one is comparable to a 2-star hotel and has nothing to do with the other building. If you complain about your room, they ask you to pay the difference to be moved to the other building, as mentioned in other reviews. This hotel is not worth paying $150 to $400 per night—not even close. I hope local authorities take action soon! Found this number for customer complain Greece # 1572 which I will try Monday, do not know if is the right one.
