Tooleybuc Country Roads Motor Inn

The place is a disgrace, had little choice but to stay there as other accommodation in Tooleybuc was full, and I can understand why. Looks like people are living in the rooms, rubbish laying around, broken crap around the joint. Broke out in itchy red welts from bed bugs. Avoid the joint. On a positive for Tooleybuc itself, had a very nice meal at the pub, beers were cold. I will try and Stay in the motel next door next time.

We stayed at the county roads motel as a stop over between Adelaide and Canberra. We chose this motel because it was cheap and had decent ratings on trip advisor. The motel is run by a family who do not speak English so we had to speak to the owner of the motel via phone which was fine. The rooms were far from ok however. They were definitely not cleaned and there were literally thousands of cockroaches. We left at 6am without showering because it was so disgusting. I cannot believe it’s actually legal to rent out rooms in such bad condition.

Beautiful location. Spacious room and spacious bathroom. Room and bathroom both clean. Towels nice and tick and fluffy. Queen size bed, with a fairly bouncy mattress -- so not great for partner disturbance. Sports club next door if you want a meal. Overall, fairly good value for money.

The room was very old and smelt very musty. It was not clean at all! The rubbish bin in the bathroom had old used tissues and pads in there which then became clear that nothing else had been cleaned. There was no hot water, the internet didn’t work, the aircon was extremely loud, the staff weren’t that great. The fridge in my room was very dirty and the freezer was full of water. After sleeping in the bed, I woke up with a rash down my leg. Out the front of my room was a lot of dog sh*t that cars had run over and there were so many flies all over it. It had been there for a long time. The kitchen where they made food for people was not clean and had cats coming and going from it as well as someone was smoking a cigarette in there. They charged me $110 for one night and the extra $10 was for a pet clean as I had my dog with me… what an absolute joke that they charged me extra for a pet clean when the room they gave me was filthy and had never been cleaned beforehand. Would love to know what a pet clean entails … just a way to make more money off of people. Would never recommend or stay here again. Was disgusting.
