The room is satisfactory. The hardware conditions are converted from an old house. It has everything that should be there. There was no TV in the room at first, but the children wanted to watch it. After the staff debugged it to no avail, the front desk immediately contacted to replace it. I am satisfied. My friend stayed in another room and left something behind. When the hotel found it during cleaning, he contacted us by phone and helped to send it back by express delivery. Thank you. Until he contacted us by phone, my friend had not yet realized that he had forgotten to take something away. Haha, great!
I also sent a few photos of the hotel's surrounding environment. It would be better if the weather was good.

The stay experience is superb! It takes less than 20 minutes to take a taxi from the high-speed rail station to the hotel. The scenery is beautiful all the way! The hotel is in the center of the scenic spot, and you can go to the museum, the underground Great Wall and the must-see attractions of that era! If you don't want to stroll, you can take a sightseeing car. The beauty in charge is very enthusiastic and will help contact the sightseeing car and the car to the high-speed rail station! The room is bigger than expected. Although the bathroom is slightly compact, it does not hinder the use. It is clean and tidy, the bedding is good, and it is quite comfortable to sleep! The ancient town is very cool in the morning and evening, and you don't need to turn on the air conditioner at night! A good place to escape the summer! Worth staying for a while!

I came to Tongren today for a trip. I saw on Ctrip that there was an exotic hotel that had just opened. I booked it for one night with the intention of trying it out. The lady at the front desk was really nice when we checked in and patiently introduced it to us. We booked a French-style room in their hotel, and the room manager also took us to see the Japanese-style room and the modern room. We liked them very much. The room was fully equipped with all the facilities we wanted, and everything we wanted was free in the room. It’s well equipped. I’ll definitely look for his place next time I come to Tongren.

CChuhandecaomeiThe environment of the entire B&B is excellent. It can be seen that the owner is very attentive and the design is decent and tasteful. Auntie's cooking skills are absolutely amazing. The young girls and young men are very attentive and gentle in their service, which matches the style of his family very well. The only regret is that it has been raining this time, which affected the overall mood and experience. This B&B is definitely a highlight of this trip. Please check the weather forecast next time you have a chance.

GGuest UserVery stylish and tasteful hotel, the location is right in the center, there are many restaurants around, there is a small river in front of the door, the scenery is beautiful; and it is less than half an hour away from scenic spots such as Fanjing Mountain, Yamugou, and Yunshe; the most important thing The service is really good. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, there were younger brothers and sisters who enthusiastically came out to help with our luggage. We booked a river view suite. The room layout is very comfortable. The bedding and bath products show the hotel's care, which is especially worth mentioning The breakfast was rich and delicious, which provided us with enough energy for our trip. GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at Yunfu. We arrived a little earlier than check in, so we went to wait by the pagoda in the square. literally two minutes walk. At night the square comes to life but we were able to sleep peacefully. The owners (I presume) were really welcoming and helped us buy tickets for the mountain. they drop and collected us from the bottom of the mountain. nice touch that we appreciated. The room is nicely decorated and has a worth about it. its clean and has AC. The beds are comfy. pillows ok. There is a restaurant just outside the hotel door to the right. we went to the one to the right but across the small road. awesome fish and bamboo. Its a nice town for like 2-3 days. We arranged with the taxi driver who drove us from train station to hotel to pick us up when we went back. very affordable prices. P.S: if you are gonna go during a holiday or summer/winter holidays BOOK YOUR TICKES IN ADVANCE. or call the hotel to help you.And go in the morning. You will understand why when you are half way up. the hotel was were really helpfully a week before we even arrived. We would stay again.

AAaron FillerExcellent hotel. Room was very big, nice design, had a great view and very clean. All facilities were great, and especially loved having a washing machine in the room, super useful. Location is perfect, right next to train station, 5 minutes walk from the bus station (to get to Fanjing Mountain), and plenty of places to eat nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. The building houses multiple hotels, so once you're outside there's a sign saying which floor to go to for each hotel. Great value stay.

MMark123456Booked 3 nights in the ”Elegant Residence City-View Double Bed Room” at the Fanbo Yashe Hotel. Overall, it was a good experience and a comfortable stay. The front desk was quite helpful, especially the wonderful receptionist Xiaoya, who assisted me with numerous things with enthusiasm, such as answering any questions, showcasing the various free amenities in the lobby, giving a quick demonstration of how to use the shared laundry area, and offered additional water or other services as needed. The bed and other furniture were comfortable and clean. The shower and bathroom area were fairly good as well. The atmosphere and decor of the room were probably the best thing. Most hotels have a stereotypical and replicated hotel room, but this hotel's rooms give you something more enjoyable since it is a different style from the norm.
Special note on cleanliness: I did want to give this a 4.5, but kept it rounded-up to a 5 since it was minor enough. The room did have some leftover sunflower seed shells in a few corners or where a piece of furniture meets the floor, and a little bit of dirt stuck where the floor layers overlap in the middle of the room. However, it was not that big of a deal. This is maybe a reminder for the hotel to take a second look where dirt or trash may get stuck when simply sweeping or mopping quickly.
Special note on the bathroom mirror lighting: The lighting by the bathroom sink and mirror could use some more direct lighting, since the position of the current lighting is not too strong and caused shadows on the face. This is not a big issue, but it could prove inconvenient to others, such as women putting on make up or trying to carefully trim a beard. The top-down lighting can cause shadows and unclear views under the eyes, nose, lips, and neck.
Tips for guests:
Name of the Hotel: While this website says Fanbo Yashe, you may actually see it named Van Gogh's Garden in person. Don't be confused; it is the same place. ”Fanbo” is related to the Chinese name for Van Gogh, ”Fan Gao”.
Laundry: Yes, is it available, but there is only one washer and dryer available (hopefully these are increased to two or three!). Laundry detergent is provided. It can be a little troublesome trying to manage around other guests, so it is likely best to do it during the day when people are busy. There is also some nearby clotheslines one can use or just hang in your room if there is not too much.
Foreigner Friendliness: Very good. They'll use Wechat to translate and communicate with you if necessary or find some other methods. In short, foreigners should have an easy time here. If other receptionists are friendly like Xiaoya, then there is nothing to worry about.
Attraction Services: The hotel seems to offer some ticket and transportation services for nearby attractions (or at least advertises third-party services), but I did not use them and cannot attest to them.
Location: It is right next to the bus station in Tongren (and a few streets away from the train station). Once the bus drops you off in the lot, you will need to exit the lot and head slightly east towards the nearby main street, then make your way south. You should encounter the hotel next to where the bus tickets are sold.

GGuest UserAs soon as we entered the hotel, the elegant and atmospheric appearance and the well-designed landscape were eye-catching. When we checked in, Xiao Tang at the front desk was warm and friendly. She upgraded us to the Hello Kitty children's theme room for free. The children liked it very much. She also prepared thoughtful welcome drinks and small gifts for us. Her thoughtful service made us feel at home instantly.
When we walked into the room, it was clean and tidy, and the decoration style was also very stylish. All kinds of facilities were available and placed reasonably. The bed was super comfortable to sleep on, and a good sleep made us feel tired after a long journey. The bathroom was also very spacious, and the toiletries were all well-known brands with pleasant fragrance, which felt very good to use.
The hotel is also in a very advantageous location, with convenient transportation around it, and it is close to attractions and business districts. The hotel staff also provided us with thoughtful travel suggestions and gave us a lot of practical guidance.
This hotel where we stayed on this trip really gave us a great experience!

JJamesHarrisIn terms of the ‘hard product’ this may be the best value hotel I’ve ever stayed in, I was genuinely shocked at how wonderful it was and for such a low price. The room and bathroom were flawless and spotlessly clean, to the same standard as any international brand 5 star hotel and far exceeding any expectations I had. The outdoor swimming pool was a very welcome relief from the summer heat and humidity. Despite this, I did feel the service wasn’t to the same standard as the hotel. I had a negative experience when checking in, and with a phone call from the hotel in the following days, that, unfortunately, left a very sour taste in my mouth. I was also surprised that there was no one on the service desk of the pool and spa area to show us to the changing rooms or offer us any towels for swimming. This being said, I would stay here again in an instant and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tongren.

SSteven DowsonWe arrived via two buses and a taxi, next time we'll drive and there is lots of parking available at the front of the hotel. Receptionists and staff all very friendly and efficient. Room was very clean, great shower, squat toilet. Hotel is a short walk from West Gate, you can follow the road or cut through the trees. We ate at the hotel first evening upon arrival and the food was good home cooking, we also had the noodle breakfast which was basic but good. We were lucky to have great weather on Fanjingshan but it's a stiff hike from West Gate and our legs were sore the next day. After our day on the mountain we stopped at a restaurant close to the gate, and returned here on our second night because the food was fresh, tasty, good value, and they have an excellent view of the mountain opposite (see photos). On our second day we took a taxi down the mountain to the nearest town (taxis use the charging points opposite the hotel) but we had trouble getting back and were fortunate to hitch a lift. The West Gate is preferable to East Gate but it's better to have a car.

Bus stop is at door and that takes you to most places of interest in the city area for museums, food streets and parks etc. At least 20+ Restaurants, cafe, eateries, mini markets are within 1-3mins walk. Hotel room unit is on high floor, good wifi signal, hot water shower, shampoo, clean sheets, TV with local cable channels, water dispenser etc. Safe for solo female backpackers, value for money, highly recommend!

There is a lack of willingness to help. When you ask for help in booking a taxi, they give you a number and tell you to do it yourself. This is not the service I expect from a hotel at that price. I have never encountered a hotel so unwilling to help in any way.
They did not help us to buy tickets for the mountain (which considering they are next to, is the one service they should provide! Every other hotel we have visited on our tour has helped us with attraction tickets). Foreigners cannot buy tickets without a Chinese ID. However, the hotel insisted we buy advance tickets, so we got a friend to help us instead. This was the wrong information: we were able to buy tickets on the day and could not use a friend’s ID! It is unacceptable to have such little information about the one tourist site next door; the only reason guests are staying in this remote location.
Our check-in also took longer than usual, and breakfast is apparently a ‘tour group’ style breakfast voucher. All in all, a disappointing stay. However as the hotel has a great location and nice rooms, this is easily fixable.
