Pros
1. The neighborhood is good: it is quiet and nice to walk around the neighborhood because it is near the Japanese residential area, not the downtown area.
2. Good location: Sakura Shinmachi Station itself is within 10 minutes to Shibuya, so access is good.
3. Good facilities: If you travel alone, you have a good space and a good facility.
4. Adequate infrastructure: There are not only convenience stores but also small marts around, so it's good to go out and buy something to eat.
Cons:
1. Ambiguous location: 10 minutes walk from Sakura Shinmachi Station and 15 minutes walk from Komazawa Daigaku Station.
2. Lack of explanation: When I saw it on Trip.com, it was difficult to prepare because I didn't get detailed about what the interior furniture and facilities were.
3. Limits of facilities: Because it is not a hotel, there is no housekeeping, so if you stay long, you have to wash your towels.
And you have to separate and collect garbage yourself.
Conclusion: I'm willing to return.

It was a clean and very cozy space that did not make you feel narrow.
On the first night, I was a little confused because there was a person who was talking loudly downstairs until midnight, but I don't think I care so much about the sound of the next room if the door is closed.

I've used it a few times for work. It's a little bit far from Shibuya, but it's quiet. There aren't many restaurants and shops around the station, but it's not inconvenient. There is a washing machine and a stove, so it's suitable for long-term stays.

Because my friend lives nearby, I chose this ”remote” hotel and had a pleasant experience! The location is very good, within a 5-minute walk from Futako Tamagawa subway station, and you can see it from the room. Although it is a city view room, you can see the Tama River and the city view at the same time, the view is invincible!
The room is considered large in Tokyo, with a 1.5-meter bed (some hotels say double bed, but with a 1.2-meter bed). The hotel provides free hot springs, fully equipped, and provides bath towels, toiletries, and even skin care products, the quality is very good!
The hotel service is very good. I stayed for 3 nights, checked out and left Tokyo for 3 days, and left some of my luggage at the hotel. When I checked in again, the front desk had already put the luggage directly in the room I was going to stay in👍
The only regret is that there was a direct bus to Narita Airport next to the hotel before, which was cancelled during the epidemic. It takes nearly 2 hours to get to the hotel from Narita Airport by Sky Express and subway! I was tortured by Tokyo's subway system🙅

The location of the hotel is very good. It is opposite the most beautiful Starbucks and the best location for cherry blossom viewing at Meguro River. There are many boutiques and coffee shops next to it. You can walk to Daikanyama in more than ten minutes from the hotel. Great location and route. There are also donki and other places next to it, which are very convenient. It is estimated to take about 15 minutes to walk to Naka-Meguro subway station. It is also very convenient to go to Shibuya from Naka-Meguro station.
The hotel room is relatively large, more than 26 square meters, which is very spacious.
There are 2 points to complain about:
1 If you need to clean and take out the garbage, you need to pay 1,500 yen separately, otherwise it will not be cleaned until you check out, but bath towels will be given every day during the period.
2 The refrigerator in the room only has a freezing function, not a refrigeration function. This is very surprising. The steam iron I asked for from the front desk was broken and not easy to use. The fragrance in the room is the fragrance of black perfume, not the Japanese style.

GGuest UserI am a book lover myself, and came to stay here for 2 nights in March a week before Easter, mainly for the library theme and book selection. The hotel itself, the book lounge, and the book libraries on each floor was all very very good. However, upon my checking in, it was obvious that the male receptionist on the left pay more attention to Caucasian guests rather than me (an Asian solo female traveller). I had the impression they just wanted to get rid of me asap, and then served the Caucasian guests behind me.
During the whole of my check in process, no one mentioned anything about the special libraries on each floor, no one told me about the free beverages offered “at the far end corner for the reception desk”, and definitely no one mentioned anything about he QRcode library tour!!! I stayed for two nights and it was only after the first night (when I read the books inside my room that I knew of ANY of the services I mentioned above). Of course one may say I could read all those on the signage’s provided in the property. But then…
Upon walking into the reception desk the next day, I did hear the same male receptionist explained in great detail (everything I mentioned above)in English to other Caucasian guests.
I like the library premise of the property, the books selections were great, exhibition on the first floor was quite nice, however, I am not sure if I would stay for a second time, knowing how they treated solo female Asian guest whom they assumed was not civilised enough (that was my impression) to deserve a thorough introduction about this lovely bookish hotel from them. Quite disappointed to be frank, especially knowing how much history this hotel has included!!

Convenience stores like Lawson and Family Mart are right next door, perfect for grabbing snacks or essentials.
The room had everything needed— phone cable, shampoo, and toothbrush etc —making it super convenient.
the staff were incredibly helpful in resolving a minor issue we had, which made my experience even better.
I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip!

AAnonymous UserI arrived early morning hence was only able to leave my luggage at the reception. Check in was at 2pm and the hotel was nice to accept my request prior to booking for a room on the ladies floor for security reasons and I am also a solo traveller. Amenities like toothbrush, comb and tea packets are provided at the reception too. My only wish is that I hope in future the Hotel can provide at least an international or English movie channel for foreign guests.

Very convenient just 7 mins walk to/from Ueno station or 4 mins to/from Okachimachi station. Kensei Skyliner to Narita airport just short walk from Ueno station. Good for last min shopping at Ameyoko Street (Uniqlo/GU, supermarket, Daiso, Donki, etc). Delicious & affordable Chirashi Don Sushi bowl (must have). They also catered free half portion ramen at night, yakult & ice sticks after Onsen (manga at the entertainment room). Definitely will stay again.

AAnonymous Useri booked the triple room as it was the only room left. there was space for only 1 large luggage - the room was a little old but bed and duvet surprisingly comfy. onsen was small so it got a little crowded as the hotel was full that night. location was great - tho the nearest ikebukuro stn exit with lift, C9 (vs 20b), is a little further from the station. excellent authentic chinese food nearby (豪妈 on google maps), and a family mart just across the street. great hotel!

Service wise is not good too many strange rules firstly, there is no phone in the room. In case u need one it’s near the elevator on each floor to speak to the staff.
The twin bed are way too big for us 2/3 of the room. I can’t even open my suitcase easily.
Only one elevator in this 14 storeys hotel right next to their emergency stairways. There is a sign saying if you are in a rush please use the stairways but we were on the higher floor and it’s so cold February a few degrees Celsius ???? Well no thanks I shall wait patiently then……
No daily cleaning service we stayed 5 nights the hotel offered one time cleaning during our stay. All the dirty linens and garbage have to be placed outside your door by 10am if new towels needed. Strangely one bottle complimentary water was given to 2 guests daily together in a bag of towels and slippers toothbrush garbage bags. Only one washing machine ¥600 35mins, dryer ¥300 60mins available (cashless payment only) Onsen too small and poor facilities.
