Villa Mitirapa offered the perfect escape from daily life. Such a beautiful place, from book by the beach or private tanning session made every moment relaxing. The villa’s decor is so charming designed for tranquility and comfort. I highly recommend to rent a car. Perfect stay, we’ll be back !

We decided not to stay in the heart of Tahiti but to venture up to Tahiti-Iti and stay at this wonder villa. It did not disappoint. Very authentic and very friendly. I do have several recommendations. First, rent a car at the airport or port before you come. You must have a car here, nothing is walkable. The gracious hosts took us to get a car, but it is not a service they do. There is a Carrefour just a couple of miles away. The other thing, if you are bothered by bugs, bring bug spray. They provide the burner, an electric contraption, and a handheld bug zapper. The only room under AC is the bedroom, so there are bugs in all other rooms. The pool and beach are amazing. We loved the open-air concept of living. The kitchen had everything we needed—a great place to unwind. The Olympics were held just down the road. We drove around on all the roads, except the one that goes through the mountain. They suggest a 4-wheel drive for that. The other odd thing is they do not have a reception, so you need to know the NAME of your villa and just go to that villa. No need to check in; they will come by in a bit and welcome you.

Love our villa. Clean and fresh. The owner and staff are very helpful and friendly. Great location on a peninsula. Some villas on the ocean and some on the bayside. We were on the bayside and really enjoyed it. Kayaked almost daily from our villa.

Villa Mitirapa is a little heaven on earth. This place is very relaxing and peaceful. Carrefour and others shops are up the road, and free parking are very convenient. The villa has its own small private beach, big cozy bed and clean. Highly recommend!

Amazing place to stay in tahiti near teahupoo for surfing for amazing waves! The villas are super clean, and have all installations to cook and are all waterfront. They all have their own parking spaces! I am amazed at this place and will come back there when i go back to tahiti! Best stay i had in polynesia!!

We've been at the Mitirapa houses a couple of times now, their houses have been refurbished with love and care, and provide great places to stay at with friends or family. All nested on the seafronts of the Pointe Vivish, a quiet, and beautiful laguna on one side, lovely white sand beach alcoves on the other, the places are both practical, nicely decorated, all have great amenities and we also recommend trying the hosts diners as they are some of the most delicious on the Island....

We stayed in Villa Hotu for 3 nights and were impressed by the spaciousness of the villa, the tidiness of the garden and the beach access. Pros • The villa is big – for the two of us, there was a lot of space. It would cater for a family easily (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, plenty of lounge areas inside and outside). • The king-size bed was comfortable and had good quality linens (actual linen, not just cotton). • The wifi was reliable and fast. • The kayaks looked brand new, although it doesn’t seem like every villa has two kayaks. We had to ask to borrow an extra one so we could both go out kayaking together. • The plunge pool and cabana were nice touches, and were clean. • Good off-road, sheltered, parking – yes, you do need a car as the property is not in easy walking distance of shops/sights etc. • Very quiet and peaceful. No loud music or road noise. Cons • There were some maintenance issues – oven didn’t work, the bathroom taps were wobbly/broken. There weren’t any eating bowls. • Glassware isn’t glass – it’s all plastic except for the champagne flutes. • No kitchen supplies provided. Basic staples of oil, salt, pepper would have been handy. • As others have said, there are mosquitoes and there is not a mosquito net. This meant keeping the bedroom doors closed and using aircon as needed. Mosquito coils were provided. • There’s not much fish life in swimming distance of the beach. We only started to see signs of fish when we kayaked a couple of hundred metres offshore.

The property is simply amazing. We liked that the location is more isolated. They also did an amazing job with the furniture and make it very special. However, we had so many mosquitos (late May) that we could not enjoy it as much. We had to stay in the bedroom with full AC as it is unbearable to deal with mosquitos.

Nous avons fait 2 week-end sur place en l'espace d'un an (en 2023 et en 2024). Le lieu est toujours aussi proopre et agréable. Le bungalow est décoré avec beaucoup de gout, des armoires pour le rangement des affaires personnelles, les serviettes de bain et de piscine à disposition. Une petite cuisine équipée, bien agencée et suffisante. Machine nespresso et capsules fournies, c'est agréable. Tout le bungalow est bien pensé et agencé, il y a même une machine à laver le linge en extérieur. 2 places de parking et on peut en mettre 2 autres sur le côté. Un propriétaire à l'écoute et disponible pour les demandes de précisions. Extérieurs magnifiques, jardins et meubles extérieurs de qualités et beaux. La petite piscine suffisait bien pour se rafraichir et partager un verre avec ceux qui sont installés sur le deck. Un barbecue extérieur qui est top. Salle de douche aussi extérieur et magnifiquement pensée. En fait, tout est beau et fait avec beaucoup de gôut. Et c'est calme, l'accès est familial et calme aussi. Nous comptons y retourner encore l'an prochain à la même période.
