Premier Inn Tiverton

We knew in advance of the parking situation when we booked, but when we arrived, the lady on reception wasn't overly helpful with regard to best options for a 5 day stay. In the end we bought a 5 day ticket in the adjoining multi-storey. That aside, clean and comfortable as per usual Premier Inn standard. The bar opening hours appeared to have no set pattern - on some days it was closed at 4pm, others it was open. But as seems to be the case in our experience with the Thyme restaurant locations, there's usually only one member of staff covering reception and bar duty, so if they're booking guests in or elsewhere in the hotel, you may have quite a wait for a drink. It's a good base for the area, but neither the best nor worst Premier Inn we've stayed in

Adequate room. Nice bathroom. A net curtain on the window facing the road would have been nice. The real downside was breakfast- the area is not large enough for the number of guests. Despite booking a time there's often a wait to sit. A sign says it's table service but it turned out to be self service. That would be OK if there was enough food as the hot area was often empty or half full. There were a lack of plates and cups. The member of staff's role seemed to consist of constantly apologising. It was a total shambles on both days. Parking is limited to a handful of disabled bays meaning you need to pay in the multi storey or council car park. The room was OK but the whole place comes across as tired compared to other Premier Inns we've stayed at. Someone really needs to come in and sort out the breakfast situation- it just needs organising properly.

The hotel and staff were faultless. Unfortunately we won't be returning due to lack of parking. There a just a few spaces for disabled visitors at the hotel. Short term parking nearby but of no use if you're staying for a few days. The helpful receptionist advised against parking in the adjacent multi storey due to risk of vandalism. She kindly directed us to a small housing development about 10 minutes walk away and we eventually found a space. Seriously thought we would have to cancel our reservation.

The complete experience was superb, absolutely 1st class. Staff, food, room and price were excellent. I would highly recommended the Premier Inn I just can't fault it. We would certainly stay again when we are in the area. Many Thanks to all the lovely staff.

Staying here for a few nights. I have to say Elliot the manger was brilliant. Very funny and helpful. Ash the chef made a beautiful burger which was served by Beth, who was okay. thank you for making my stay memorable team. I’ll definitely be coming back

The hotel is well located and maintains the usual high standards of cleanliness and comfort. The staff here however are exceptionally good. Elliott was on reception and very polite, efficient and full of good local advice. He then doubled up as a waiter in the evening and once again he was highly efficient and his humorous personality shown through. A credit indeed to his company. The food provided BT the chef Ash was superbly done making the 'meal deal' great value. The only reason this venue isn't 5 stars is the parking. The multi story car park next door costs £16 overnight which adds 25% to the cost if you have a car. However other local car parks within a two minute walk should be utilised where overnight parking is £2.10 between 1800 and 0800. If you like a lie in you'll need to 'feed' the car park meter.
