Came here for an ACAPA Audition! Great because it's not too far from the train station and the university where the audition was. Super friendly staff. And nearly no noise from the road. Showers pretty clean. However, I did find bugs in the bed and sometimes the cards would stop working and prevent us to come in.( I was in a shared dorm room with some other people who auditioned and was not the only one to have this problem. Overall good stay, just sis not like the bugs.

The positives: a relatively comfy bed, and a very nice building, in a low-traffic street and very close to the railway station. I was however quite upset by the night-time phone landing directly on the voice mail, when you need it (on first night, when my swipe card wouldn't open the front door; and on my last night, when that drunken dude in the hallway was saying he had locked himself out and there was no one to help him or else ask him to leave). There is also no kitchen, which is definitely something I look for, in a hostel. Otherwise, standard hostel practices of bumping up the prices when there is high demand, not providing any kind of basic shower gel and selling miniature shower gels for, I don't remember, many euros.

Had a really great stay at Hostel Roots. We had chosen this place as it was near enough to the Efteling theme park while still getting to see a bit of Tilburg. We had a private room for our family of 4 (kids 10-12yrs) . The room was very clean and welcoming, beds comfy, interior design cool. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There were activities like a pool table, piano, darts and shuffle board to entertain our kids. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning. We were able to park our car in their little carpark for a little extra $. All in all a great stay! Thanks a lot Hostel Roots team! We'll be back.

Had a wonderful stay here for three days in a private room. The room had three beds but I had it all to myself, with a private terrace to boot. The staff were wonderful and made the place feel like family. I opted for a deluxe breakfast on one of the days and it was like getting a home-cooked meal.

Great place, perfect location in the citycenter. Poppodium 013 was nearby, and the restaurants as well. And the trainstation is also in the neighbourhood, only 5 minutes walking. The room was clean en comfortable. Personal was very friendly en flexibel. So we i can advise you to go this place.

In general, this hostel is quite good and the cheapest in town! I stayed for 4 days(3 nights) in a shared room, and it was a nice experience. The staff were very polite and kind to me, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, and it's very close to the center and to the train station which I really appreciate! Inside the room, it was a large window which couldn't be fully closed and you could feel the cold air getting in, but during the night there was a heating system so it didn't feel cold inside. And the most important thing is that there's no curfew, so you can come in and get out whenever you want. Definitely would come again here whenever I come to Tilburg!

First time staying at a hostel without a huge group. I booked one day in advance, used online check-in and by calling the night number I could arrive shortly after midnight. I was in bed by 1:00. Surprisingly comfortable beds. The next morning I saw more people sleeping in the room that I hadn't noticed coming in. I had the standard breakfast which I was pleasantly surprised by. Very convenient for a single morning and not a bad price. Check out was super easy. And just a few minutes walking from the train station which is awesome. Overall, would book again. (Didn't like the aesthetics though. Too modern for the beautiful historical building that its in)

Close to the station. Extremely friendly and kind reception. Fairly clean toilets and bathrooms. Warm shared dorm room, but less clean. Common rooms with nice DIY aesthetics. Artistic and inclusive vibes. Good breakfast. Felt safe to stay there. Definitely a yes.

Very lovely building and a lot of space in the room. Great place!

The welcome was very good and the stay surprising. I slept quite well in a good bed and then had an excellent breakfast. The people in the hostel are all very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend them.

An historical building 3 minutes away from the train station. Spacious rooms and friendly staff. The only negative thing was that one of the Dutch speaker receptioniste was very suspicios regarding my nationality and the reasons of my stay and looked at me like a bank robber. That was disapointing a bit but I can't do nothing against these kind of prejudices. I recommend the hostel even If I won't come back there. Flavius from Romania

Great stay, very friendly and helpful, the green room was very nice as a family and separate bathroom. The only thing is the accessibility of the car park behind the building. It is very hard to find and you have to call in advance, in itself not a problem because then the right gate opens.

Good beds, location & friendly staff. We came with 9 ladies for a bachelorette party. The hostel is very close to central station and in a nice area in the center of Tilburg. Shops, party area and cute coffee shops are close. Hostel has good facilities. We felt like being in a dorm, in a good way.

Perfect experience, staff extremely accommodating for our early check in and very friendly. Bedding was soft and they provided us towels and shower gel for our private room. Room had a cute view and was very quiet at night. Exactly what we needed for one night but could easily stay here for multiple comfortably.
