The Pema by Realm

The hotel is a one-stop shop that can help organize your entire visit to Bhutan: from obtaining visa to securing flights in and out of Bhutan to all local transport and guide arrangements. The hotel itself shows that a great deal of thought and attention have gone into the design and operations of this hotel: warm welcome, genuine hospitality, nicely decorated rooms, luxurious towels! The dining experience is also excellent: offers both Bhutanese, Asian, and Western options. The pastry is probably the best in Bhutan. We enjoyed a comfortable and relaxing stay, and appreciated all the local travel arrangements made by the hotel.

The Pema by Realm turned out to be the best part of the trip. The front office manager, Hem was so courteous throughout our journey. Right from booking the hotel to planning our itinerary. We didn't really know what to expect when we chose Bhutan as a holiday destination but we were simply blown away by how warm the people are. They were always ready to go out of the way to help us out, whether it was running down to the market to getting anything or helping us settle into our room. So much so that they even told us multiple times that if anything in the room was not to our liking they would change it for us. We planned this trip around my father's birthday and honestly it was probably his best till date. The entire hotel celebrated his birthday like he was one of their own. They decorated the room and got him a chocolate cake to celebrate. Melam, did a great job in planning the celebrations and making our stay comfortable, right from checking in to ensuring our rooms were comfortable. The food at all the restaurants in the hotel was amazing. We used to order a lot of room service if we didn't feel like going down to the restaurant to eat. They have lots of options for everyone to pick and everything tastes amazing. It's a no brainer to eat at any of their restaurants. Picking the right hotel is important since you are possibly going to eat a lot of meals in the hotel after sightseeing/hike/visits. I'd also like to thank dhongfu, yeshi for taking us through bhutan as our guide and Jimmy for driving us to all these beautiful sites.

My parents and I just spent three nights at The Pema Hotel, and honestly, it was such a grrrreatt experience from start to finish. Hem, the manager, was amazing – he made everything so easy, from sorting out our taxis and a fantastic local guide to helping us nail down our daily plans. Their attention to every little detail and the genuine warmth from everyone truly made a differnce. Our room was beautiful, and the mountain views were just incredible – we spent quite a bit of time just staring out! The entire team was just so friendly and welcoming; they always had a smile and were super patient with all our questions, which we definitley had a few of! The food was spot-on, and we even treated ourselves to massages at their spa – they were really professional and so needed after all our exploring. Pema is a true gem of a boutique hotel. It really felt more special than some of the 5-star places we've stayed at, and I'd recommend it without a second thought to anyone planning a trip to Thimphu, Bhutan.

I had wonderful experience during my recent stay at the Pema. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth and care . The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, attending to every need with a smile. Their humble behavior and attention to detail were truly commendable. Whether it was helping with small requests or simply checking in to ensure everything was perfect. I also highly recommend the pema and their 3 food outlets - each outlets has its own charm and vibrancy which I loved and experienced for different occasion during my stay. I could feel the uplifting Positive Energy in the air. The ambiance was calm, refreshing, and filled with a sense of warmth that made me feel at ease ,while I worked on my project report . Whether it was the welcoming smiles from the staff or the thoughtful design of the space, everything radiated Positivity ⭐ The team here is incredibly humble, attentive, and professional. They seemed to anticipate my needs even before I asked, It’s rare to encounter such genuine hospitality these days ! If you're looking for a place that’s more than just accommodation — a space that uplifts your mood and fills you with positive vibes It's the Pema I can't recommend it enough and look forward to returning soon! As soon as we enter the Aura is so Positive. Can feel flowing through the staff. They were very warm and welcoming. No wonder the standards are above 4star hotel category should be rated 5 star. It's truly a Gem of Bhutan tourism. The food is also very good.

We stayed at The Pema for our first 2 nights in Thimphu. And I must say it was the best hotel stay throughout our trip in Bhutan. Very nice welcome/greeting. Staff was very attentive and accommodating, even offered to open the Spa in the middle of the night when hot water delayed in our room. Very clean and nice views. The dinner from the Bistro and morning breakfast buffet were superb. Food taste and presentation are up to par to NYC restaurants’. The honey gift was clutch for my sore throat!
