Blue Bottle Boutique Hotel

My stay at the Maroon Bottle suites in Thessaloníki last week: This hotel is amazingly pleasant, is not ranked on an hotel Star system but for me is better than any 5 star I stayed in Thessaloniki before. Decoration is somewhat vintage and cosy. Moreover, I felt a sense of freedom and care by the personnel for breakfast and late afternoon after my work. I will come back for sure. Rooms are quite large, and the shower as well. In short, I feel at home. Bravo!

Breath of fresh air to stay at a hotel with character and not a multinational chain hotel. Great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Can thoroughly recommend the Blue Bottle if you are visiting Thessaloniki. You will not be disappointed if you like something different.

Great location in the city.. it’s not a fancy hotel but it’s a good base to explore Thessaloniki. There was a really good breakfast included in our package. The staff were very helpful to give us information about the city and dining out. I would stay again.

Good location in the centre of Thessaloniki. The hotel is basic, no frills, but functional. The room was small and the shower and toilet are separate and directly off the room with the sink in the room. It had air con and a balcony. We had read about issues either noise but we didn’t have a problem although I don’t think it was busy. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. I especially liked the fresh orange juice, the yogurt and pies. You are given a comprehensive list to choose from which was a good idea. Thessaloniki is a lovely city with loads of restaurants, bars and shops. Really nice to wander round. The city has a good vibe with a young crowd but not rowdy. (We are a couple in our late 50’s). The area at the top of the city which used to be the castle is a nice walk to give good views and see something out of tourist central.

We initially had some problems with *********** cancelling all our reservations due to some system hack or something and as a traveller it was the worst moment as you're already all set for your flight and all and that happens. *********** wasn't helping at all they even said I cancelled my bookings which isn't true coz' I'm going for sure, it's my birthday trip why would I do that. To make the long story short, Despoina helped me throughout the process. She made sure everything will be fine. We came to the hotel quite early and luckily our room was ready. Everything was amazing. It's very accessible to almost everything. We love walking so we are very happy with the location. The breakfast was exceptional. Their pies are lovely and it's very good to start your day with a good breakfast. Hopefully, we'll come back soon. Thank you very much for an amazing stay.

This place is an absolute diamond. Do not be deterred by the quirky little entrance because everything beyond is five star. The rooms are near to perfect; spotlessly clean, cleverly and beautifully decorated with the most comfortable bed ever, the best shower ever and the quietest (very efficient) air conditioning ever. Adding to this an excellent breakfast arrangement and wonderful friendly staff leaves nothing more to say apart from it being in the perfect location. It’s set on a quiet city side street a gentle 20 minutes stroll to all the main sites and only 5 minutes walk to several of the best eating places in Thessaloniki. All in all a gem of a find.
