Yen Tu Village

Nice and cozy stay inside the small village, with two built-in bunk beds (4pax) in one small room. Shower and toilet are in one tiny cubicles so it was a bit difficult to change inside, but the water pressure was really strong with plenty of hot water. A bit difficult to find the reception at the beginning, it was located next to the main entrance of the village(need to turn left for the Village before going to Legacy Yen Từ). We stayed one night at Yen Tử Village to enjoy the local foods, coffee & night time shows inside the village, and next day after checking out, we left our luggage at the reception and climbed the mountain with cable car, then moved to next door Legacy Yen Tử just to relax after the long & steep walk. I think the management of both Yen Tử village and Legacy M Gallery is somehow related( they use same showers , lamps, towels, etc), they sent us to the cable car station , picked us up from the cable car station, and sent us with our luggages from the Village reception to Legacy with the yellow electric cart. It was really a nice weekend outing from Hanoi, just 2.5hours drive towards Ha Long side. The only setback is that the transport from Hanoi to Yen Tử is not so frequent, you can use Hung Cuong transport buses, or better arrange your own.

A touristy village for tourists who stay in Legacy Yentu or other lodging here. That said, most stallholders only speak Viet. There are about no more than ten or fifteen stalls open on this Sunday evening. There is a nightlife village show at 8pm, but it is done in Vietnamese, only. It’s free to watch. There are chairs for you. We thought the dances (including a lion dance and a chicken dance - apparently the chicken was real) were rather mediocre… but then, what do you expect for a free show right? There was a segment of some form of Q&A or quiz, but as we didn’t understand, we left early. While watching the show, we had a 20-minute nice foot massage and soak for about 150,000 dong. There is one restaurant, but as the google reviews didn’t appear favourable, we gave it a miss. Hence I didn’t write anything in triosdvisor either. The above doesn’t sound very enticing does it? Well, no harm taking a leisurely walk here after dinner right?

Just got back from a trip to Yên Tử Village with some friends, and I have to say, it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. This place is like stepping back in time into an old Vietnamese village, surrounded by the beautiful Yên Tử Mountain. One of the highlights was getting to wear traditional Vietnamese outfits. It felt like we were cosplaying, becoming part of the old village life. Walking around in those costumes really added to the immersive experience, making us feel connected to the history and culture. The village itself is so peaceful, surrounded by beautiful nature. We spent our days exploring traditional crafts, learning about local customs, and just enjoying the serene atmosphere. The staffs were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a unique and relaxing getaway, I highly recommend visiting Yên Tử Village. It’s a hidden gem where you can experience Vietnam’s rich heritage and natural beauty firsthand.
