Anaconda Lodge Ecuador

An amazing experience. From the hospitality to the wildlife, we could not have ask for more. Francisco and his wife, the owners, tended to our every need. The staff members were outstanding and very helpful and kind. We saw snakes, monkeys, caiman, scorpions, tarantulas, all kind of insects, birds, etc. We missed a rainbow boa that was resting on our daily path by a couple of hours. The night hike was my favorite part of the adventure. We definitely would love to go back

This was one of the best experience I had while in Ecuador. Francisco and his staffs are amazing. The foods and drinks were great. I love the day hike through the amazon forest and the night walk. Plenty of creatures and insects for you to see. I love learning about plants that can be used as medicine by the native people. Visit the native family house and learned how they make chocolate is one of the highlights of this trip.

A fantastic place. Can’t say enough about it. Quiet, intimate setting. The owners embrace and reflect their love of the Amazon area. The staff was professional and so accommodating. The accommodations were clean, functional and well maintained. The food was out of this world (we are still talking about the homemade bread). Francisco and Silvia made our stay one of the highlights of our trip. Would highly recommend and would go back in a second.

This lodge offers an incredible experience. Rooms are comfortable, food is gourmet (homemade bread is to die for) Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and topnotch. Owners are friendly and engaging. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend

What a great experience! We felt like we were in the middle of the jungle (because we were). I saw one mosquito the whole time! The food was excellent and the lodge owners catered to our delicate stomachs AND we had homemade ice cream several times. I’m still thinking about their homemade bread, too. The cabins were rustic and added to the feel of being smack dab in the middle of the jungle, and the lodge grounds were well-maintained. Our guides (thank you, Felix!) were awesome!

Where should we start - hardly ever have we felt so welcomed. If we ever wanted to live in the Amazons of Ecuador the hosts Francisco and Silvia are exactly the kind of people we would want to have around. Anaconda Lodge isn't just about having a bed to sleep in. If you are interested in learning about the culture, animals (cute dogs and cats included ;-)) and the beauty of this area but also eager to find out more about the political difficulties the rain forest and the people who live in it are experiencing these days then this is the perfect place for your stay. The hosts will make this breathtaking experience unforgettable for you. It's easy to tell that the lodge means so much to them. Not only is the Anaconda Lodge with all its friendly staff and delicious food a peaceful and quiet place to experience the rainforest with all its beautiful flora and fauna (trust me - Silvia and Francisco got some great trips waiting for you ;-) ) but it's also a place where hospitality takes on a new meaning. Thank you so much for taking care of us and for broadening our horizons. We truly felt like we were part of the family.
