We’re currently vacationing here, so I’m sharing my experience. The hotel has a lot to be proud of: stunning views, excellent cuisine (and therefore, all the staff involved), incredibly hardworking and well-coordinated waiters at the main restaurant, a welcoming reception, the presence of a water park, and quite decent rooms. BUT something happened here that I could have never imagined. This evening, we went to exchange towels. There’s a woman there who usually hands them out. Standing next to her was a man, apparently responsible for the hammam or massages — I don’t know his name, but I believe the hotel management could easily identify him if they wished. I handed in our used towels, expecting to get clean ones in return — just like on other days. But then he said, “You don’t suit us,” and refused to give me towels. Instead, he handed back our cards (which you use the next morning to collect towels). At first, I thought he was joking — because how could that be serious? “Don’t suit you” — what does that mean? My nationality? My skin color? My money not good enough? I also considered it might be close to closing time (there were only about 5 minutes left), and that’s why he acted this way. But no — right after us, some other guests of a different nationality arrived, and everything was fine. He smiled, spoke politely. So I turned around and came back again for the towels. He had stepped aside with the other guests, so there was no direct confrontation. But I felt utterly disgusted — I can’t even describe it. I have never in my life been humiliated like this. And when it comes to service in vacation hotels — this is beyond words. Should I have to tolerate this after paying my own money? This is unacceptable. I sincerely hope the hotel administration responds appropriately.
