Extremely scenic with lots of space. We went in a self contained camper and thought it was fantastic in a good location. People who turn up and complain about the state of the toilets should do some research before their trip. It’s very remote with no phone signal. This campsite is much more like the ones you’d find in remote Canada or the US.

The campsite is located in a beautiful setting, around 40 minutes away from Milford Sound. And that's the only advantage of it. We paid 30 NZD for 2 people and it was not worth it as we got almost nothing for that price! There were only pit "Toilets" on site, very dirty and full of flies without any sink. No showers as well. Cooking shelters had no amenities, there were only tables. The barbecue was outside and we couldn't use it because of the rain. Not sure what we paid for, as we had much better amenities in free public toilets. We don't recommend unless you are a self-contained campervan.
