風景優美，兩位老夫妻經營四十年的旅館，充滿了藝術和家庭氣息，兩衹雙胞胎的狗狗活力滿滿。美中不足的是早餐八點半定時開始，八點會提前用意大利歌劇喚醒…喜歡晚起和社恐的慎選。不過，和來自世界各國的遊客同桌用餐其實也是很有意思的體驗。

We stayed for 2 nights. You certainly can’t beat the view of the lake! Lovely gardens and our room had a patio and views over the lake. Chris, the chef, prepared some wonderful canapés and wine for us around 6.30pm This is an easy drive into town, although on the edge of Taupo, so either drive or take an Uber. Amenities were very good. Plentiful supply of towels and a lovely big bathroom and storage/hanging area. Great car parking

This hotel is situated in a world of its own far from the madding crowd. The experience reminded us of a skiing trip in France where we met different fellow lodgers every morning over breakfast. All the suites are unique and well-equipped offering all the modern comforts of an international 5 star hotel. We particularly enjoyed the view over the garden with Taupo Lake in the distance when we wake up. Luckily we arrived at a time when we can enjoy fresh cool air by opening the doors and windows leading to the balcony. Our host Gary is a world traveller and his family and staff looked after us throughout our 3 day stay, altogether a very unique and pleasant experience in an otherwise dull locale!

We booked this lodge located in Acacia Bay just outside of Taupo for a couple of nights to explore the Taupo region. We had a large room, almost like a small suite, and were overlooking the lake. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and it was possible to have the windows open and sit outside At night, we could see the milky way, the southern cross asf with our bare eyes - a wonderful experience. Staff was helpful and the breakfast very good. The thing to get used to is an informal check-in, that after breakfast you already have to advise staff what you want for breakfast the following day, the parking space is limited and with that, a challenge to maneuver around your car, especially given that most guests arrive with large SUVs or small trucks..

We had a wonderful two night break at Taupo Lodge. We were so well looked after by the team. Gary kindly booked us restaurants and taxis. Chris' canapés were delicious - as was the wine. Victoria was a font of all knowledge regarding where to visit depending on out interests. Thank you all

It was simply an amazing and very special stay at the Lake Taupo Lodge - absolute luxury combined with family home stay, beautiful gardens and excellent view onto the lake and far away volcanoes. A high recommend! Such a wonderful welcome by Gary to such a special place. The view from the lake suite was unbelievable. The food was scrumptious with artful and delicious breakfast cooked to order by Chris. The evening cocktail hour was a lovely way to meet guests and to pick the brains of Victoria and Chris as to activities to do in Taupo. Everything was top-notch, and we felt welcomed, refreshed, and spoiled. If you stay, please take time to wander through the incredible gardens.

Our experience at Lake Taupo Lodge was absolutely fantastic! The team has created a wonderful amalgamation of luxury and homeliness. Just one call out, not a negative but something to be aware of, note this is less like a formal hotel and more of a lodge / bed & breakfast. The service was impeccable, with a breakfast catered to our dietary restrictions, our room remade multiple times a day, and lovely advice and chatter in between. The bathrooms are spacious and modern, with beautiful views. The rooms, while slightly older, are super comfortable and spacious. I didn’t want to leave - I felt right at home and so calm with the stunning setting of the lodge.

Most beautiful views of my life! Incredible hospitality from friendly owners, gorgeous architecture, only ~7 rooms for and intimate feel, perfectly appointed rooms, all with great views of the lake. What sets it apart also is the exceptional landscaping and gardens. A lifetime’s passion and work is simply stunning. Would return over and over again if i could.
