Dar El Hayet

This small hotel is in the heart of the Old Medina and is perfect for experiencing traditional Morocco. The staff (Jamal and Mohammed) were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but adequate and tastefully decorated in traditional Moroccan style. Breakfast is served in a room on the roof garden which offers spectacular views of the City. Would definitely go back there again.

In the old Medina. Great rooftop terrace with views of the bay & city. Welcome you up there with Moroccan Mint tea. Breakfast there for 4€ pp. Jamal & Mohamed were great hosts. Both spoke English & Jamal spoke Spanish as well. Got me a hair dryer when I asked. They recommended a lovely restaurant (La Terasse de La Medina) for dinner & ordered us a taxi to take us to the train station (100 Dinhar), which came almost to the hotel. Nice Decor. Good value. Would stay again. The lighting was very low, hard for old eyes. The bed had two pads on it which created a bit of a dip in the center, which made it very uncomfortable for me. Perhaps a single, larger pad that covers the entire bed would be better.

Se supone que es un hotel de 3 estrellas, por el precio lo parece pero no se ajusta a la realidad. La habitación es pequeña pero mona. El hotel no dispone de camas dobles grandes como ofertan en Booking. Son dos camas pequeñas con colchón duro e incómodo juntas. El baño tiene un olor fuerte a humedad y cañerías. Cuando te duches prepárate para inundar el baño completamente. Ellos ya lo saben y por eso te dejan una fregona y unas chanclas en el baño. La propietaria del hotel se lava las manos y no ofrece solución alguna a sus errores. Te dice que hables con Booking. La verdad que ha sido una decepción total y nos ha causado muchas molestias. Es una pena que el chico de recepción sea el que tiene que dar la cara y la dueña no haga nada. El chico de la recepción ha sido muy amable y comprensivo en todo momento. No debemos de ser los primeros que se quejan de la supuesta "cama doble grande". No lo recomiendo para nada.

Une maison d’hôte remarquablement située à proximité du musée de la kasbah. Entièrement rénové avec un accueil au petits soins par le personnel. Le vrai plus : la terrasse sur le toit ou le petit déjeuner est servie chaque matin. Nombreux restaurants à proximité.
